We had a wonderful weekend stay at St John’s Croft. Gorgeous historic property set in beautiful grounds. The room was quirky, comfortable and spacious. Comfy bed, lovely cotton sheets and plenty of seating. The view from the room looked over a lovely garden. Facilities included the room included a sink, a kettle and ability to make tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Separate bathroom with a toilet, shower and sink. Slightly dated but did the job.
The breakfast window was a little narrow- 8.30-9.30am, even at the weekend. We nearly missed it but the owner was great and rustled something up for us! Breakfast itself was great- fruit/ yoghurt/cereals and toast plus the option of eggs and either bacon/smoked salmon. Freshly cooked on an aga and very yummy.
The B and B is well located on a quiet road only a short walk into the city centre. Parking is off street.
A family run business, the owners were engaging and super helpful. Overall a very good experience.
