Lovely hotel set in an idyllic village but expensive, not only to stay there but also for food and drinks within the hotel .

Excellent accommodation. Good location. No AC’s but fans are in room and with windows open it cools down. Would come back.

We enjoyed another relaxing stay here in a beautiful, spacious suite with a private garden. We wished we could have stayed longer. We’ve been eating and staying here since our first visit in 1991, so they’re doing something right. We love the village, the grounds with the lawn to the stream, and the nearby villages. Staff were friendly and helpful, supplying fans in the heatwave. The food was excellent - we ate dinner outside on the terrace, from the bar menu - and breakfast the next morning was equally good. It was a shame that builders were repairing pathways with some noise and dust. Nevertheless, we’ll be back.

It is a beautiful building in a lovely location. I’m not sure if the severe heat made a few things more difficult during our stay. We ate in the restaurant on Saturday evening, and although our food took quite a long time to arrive, what we did have was lovely and we really enjoyed it. A couple who were seated next to us after we had arrived received both their starter and main course before we got our food. We had ordered several starters and side dishes because we weren’t very hungry, so I’m not sure if that contributed to the delay. Despite this, our waitress couldn’t have been nicer, and it was an extremely hot evening, so we appreciated how hard the staff were working. The room was okay, although we had trouble opening the wardrobe because it was positioned too close to the bed. You could only open one wardrobe door at a time to about a 70-degree angle. I also found a few different bugs in the bedroom, which made me feel a little uncomfortable, especially as we hadn’t had the windows open. There is no air conditioning, although a fan is provided in the room. The bathroom was modern and clean, but the shower didn’t have a separate handheld hose, which is something I personally prefer. All of the staff were lovely. The breakfast was excellent, as was the breakfast service, and the reception staff were all friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but for almost £650 for two nights, we expected a little more in terms of the room

The property and the surrounds were stunning. The bar staff seemed to be having a tough time keeping up but overall a great stay and wonderful staff ! Lots of day trips were very easy from the Inn as well as a beautiful walk into Bourton on the Water ! Highly recommended

If you’re traveling to the Cotswolds in the summer time it may be difficult to stay and enjoy the rooms at the Slaughters Country Inn when the sun is high because there is no AC or central air. Fans will suffice to circulate the air and you can ask for more with reception. The property was lovely, the staff was great and the ambiance was wonderful.

Everything about our short stay was fantastic. The only problem was that it was short!! We would love to return later in the year. All of the front of house staff were extremely helpful and kind. The food was amazing, locally sourced and very tasty.

Lovely grounds and staff. Room was large but dated and not as luxurious as I would expect for price point $450 -500 per night. Breakfast was great.

Beautiful setting Hotel was lovely, we stayed in the little cottages and we couldn’t fault it. Nice and clean. Well presented. Had all that we needed. Having the 2 separate rooms upstairs and downstairs was great for when we put our little boy down to bed. Breakfast was amazing too. 5* all around definitely would recommend and would want to stay again

I would not recommend. Place was so busy with Easter weekend and guests had nowhere to sit, tables dirty, queue for bag long, queue for food long, coffe at breakfast takes 30mins to arrive, didn’t clean our room, didn’t replace towels when asked, complained to manager and nothing done about it. Stay clear and stay at any of the gorgeous places in the Cotswolds

We had a wonderful 2 nights stay. The rooms were clean and roomy. Staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Evening meal and breakfast were lovely and will accommodate anyone’s needs. We asked about local walks and staff were very helpful and gave us maps I would definitely stay again.
