This was a great place to stay! You can tell they have a lot of pride in their business, for its age, the place was SPOTLESS! The staff was so kind and welcoming. The location was perfect, right on the river by the Cologne Cathedral and Hohenzollern Bridge I definitely recommend, and would stay again!

The location could not be beat! On the river, a few blocks from the Dom and train station. Right in the middle of the Christmas Markets if you are traveling during that time. Room was older and smaller but definitely clean with a good restaurant below that we ate at a couple of times.

Great location, in walking distance to many of the city’s attractions.
The room was clean and at a good price.
If I had to mention something constructive, I would advise they change out the carpet. It’s past its time.

All personal were very efficient,friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean ,our view was excellant,.. i had reserved a double room for 2 with 2 twin beds,i was given a double occupancy with a single double bed... the hotel staff was able to accomodate with grace and efficiency. Must say a great location, but no tea/coffee making facilities and no refrig. Staff were helpful and spoke both English and German. Its a little tired.
The rooms overlooking the river can be quite noisy as restaurants and bars are below

The hotel was low cost and that is what you get, no frills, but it was clean and the cleaners were really friendly as were all the staff. No pressure to check out, location was excellent (I actually came back after checking out for lunch!) bed was very soft (some may not like that) but was very comfy.
Overall a nice stay, just for one night. I couldn't say how it would be for longer.

I don’t know how they have the cheek to charge over 100 EUR per night for this place. Especially on a Thursday in September.
When you finally find the entrance which is through a restaurant, you get a very curt welcome.
The place is clean enough but desperately in need of some tlc. Holes in the doors, worn carpets, needs decorating.
The worst bit was the shower, didn’t clip into the bracket, the bracket didn’t adjust, it may as well have been a hosepipe. Terrible water pressure but then the towels are so small and thin, even if you do manage to get wet, you can’t dry yourself with them anyway.
There isn’t even anyone around to complain to.
Never again.

The accomodation id old, but clean. The reception people were all lovely, except the younger person. The older guys were most helpful. The elevator is carpetted and only fits 3 suitcases and a person at a time but it works well. Great location to everything you need. Rooms are small but super clean.
We would stay here again.
