Hotel Miramare

Everything about this hotel was great, from the location on the beach with great views and the sound of the ocean to lull you to sleep. The rooms were nice and always clean, breakfast was varied and tasty and the staff were always so helpful.

The hotel was spotless and comfortable and the staff was extremely hospitable, helpful and warm. The sea views are lovely and everything about the hotel itself was 10/10. Sadly, the local government has mismanaged the zoning and there is a noisy nearby establishment with spot lights and a huge flashing screen that is on 24 hours a day. There is a noisy dance club/ bar across the street that plays thumping music untill 1 or 2 AM. They've also erected an ugly sign that partially blocks the view of the mountains. The local government is allowing a beautiful location to be destroyed by both visual and noise pollution.

I stayed here for a couple nights in Dec and this may have contributed to the disappointing stay. The reason for the lower star score include - Location is a little isolated and I didn't have a car, so there's limited options for food or things to do. Fortunately, the restaurant across the street was good and reasonably priced. I ate here for all my dinners, which was not ideal. - Room was nicely sized and had most of the normal items for hotels in this area such as water pot, safe for passports or valuables, and shampoo/soap, but no conditioner (so be sure to bring your own). The bed was very firm and I didn't sleep well. Lastly, the water temperature was problematic and one morning I took a luke warm shower. One positive is the breakfast as it was nice being able to sit at the window overlooking the beach. Very nice variety with cold meats, cheese, juices, and hot food such as eggs and bacon. Overall, I was a little disappointed. Perhaps it's a better option in the warm summer season.

Beautiful breakfast buffet. Hotel is clean and modern. Courteous staff. Great spot close to pier with lots to see and the hotel next door has an interesting night time pub and music scene. Great spot.

We enjoyed our stay at Miramare. The location was wonderful and the staff were so friendly. The room was comfortable and had a balcony overlooking the sea. The shower was TINY and there was only a hand-held nozzle. It wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't the most relaxing. The AC in the room is restricted and can only be lowered to 24 (if I remember correctly). We were there during a heat wave and would have liked for it to be cooler. Beach access was $20 a day. Parking was free, Great location! Definitely recommend.

Great Ocean views and a good place to stop overnight. Friendly staff and nice gelato bar close by.

Starting off our door wouldn’t lock, but they fixed it. The bed was like sleeping on the floor and the A/C quit working about 9:30pm and would not come on all night. Our room was so stuffy because of no A/C it was miserable trying to sleep.

Beautiful sea views from the room. Room was very clean & staff very friendly. Only downside was the multiple keys needed to get into and out of the room, and AC did not work 2nd night (first night no issues so not sure what happened). Overall lovely stay - would come back for sure

The view of the waves crashing from the balcony was outstanding. The breakfast was wonderful.
