We absolutely loved our stay at Le Palais Juliana. It was truly a special place, an oasis in the tropics. The staff were incredibly helpful and they were all at our service; they arranged everything for us and went above and beyond what was expected from them. The room was incredibly beautiful and impeccably clean. They also have a garden at the back where they grow their own vegetables organically - the food was really tasty; I especially loved the pad thai. The hotel itself is very, very beautiful - I loved the ponds with beautiful water lilies and lotus flowers growing on them, the decors that highlight the culture of Indochina, and the way they designed everything was truly on point. The pool was also really big - it was perhaps the biggest we've ever encountered during our 3-month trip. I highly, highly recommend Le Palais Juliana and would absolutely stay here should we go back to Luang Prabang.

Palais Juliana is a bit faraway from the city center. More a business than a vacation place. The hotel could use some renovation. Limited dining services. Transfer included from and to the airport is convenient, as well as the possibility of a free shuttle around Luang Prabang.

I would give a four or five stars, if they can keep up with the cleanliness of the property.the rooms are clean but the outside have so much dust, I feel that the owners need to hire more help, since labor is very cheap to keep the pool clean and the hallway clean. I have no complaints with the staff, the location of the hotel is very nice, the hotel itself is very pretty, only the upkeep is not very good.

We had a relaxing and very enjoyable time at this resort. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Excellent communication and assistance provided. The pool area was fantastic and most relaxing. The restaurant was great. Excellent breakfasts and we had a relaxing dinner one night. 5km from town centre, but regular free shuttles go which is helpful or you can use the bicycles which was fun. Highly recommend this place.

It's spacious and has a nice pool. The property is 2.5 miles from the night market and restaurants. The room SMELLS like mold/musty one night and smoke the next two nights. The smoke from outside came into the room.

Staff were friendly and helpful, although the young clerk on the desk tried to hustle me into arrange tours and tuk-tuks through him as I was checking in. The room was beautiful and quite comfortable, but a comfortable chair instead of the traditional wooden couch would have made it even more so.The grounds and the pool were also very beattiful. The main negatives were really poor internet, distance from the center of town with infrequently scheduled shuttles, and lack of airconditioning in the fitness center.

Nice hotel. Bathroom had some issues with mold in the shower which can be easily remedied. Bed was comfortable and clean. Room was very nice in general. The pool is beautiful but we weren’t able to use it due to the rain! The hotel is a little out of the way for travellers who wish to be close to the action in town. There is a shuttle service but walking to town isn’t possible. The breakfast buffet is good and has a lot of choice.

Nice hotel, but quite far away from the historic center. They have a shuttle but it runs very seldom, which makes it quite impractical. Breakfast food could use some improvement. The pool area is nice, but the pool should be cleaned daily (it looked quite dirty, not only from the debris from nearby burnings of crops, but also built-up from not being cleaned in a long time).

Our room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the pool. The hotel staff was polite in general. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful. The shuttle service to downtown only runs a few times a day. So you usually have to get a tuk-tuk into town ( about US$7 ). The tuk-tuk ride back to the hotel from town is about US$ 6. The breakfast buffet was OK, nothing special. Overall, we had a good stay.

The hotel itself is beautiful as well as the grounds it is located on. We had lunch here and the food was very good. However, it is located next to absolutely nothing!!! The hotel provides a shuttle into town at scheduled times and you have to book 2 hours in advance. The hotel can call for a tuk tuk if the shuttle times do not work for you but it is a 15 minute ride. Very inconvenient if you like to be walking distance to... ANYTHING!

My girlfriend and Instayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. The staff were brilliant and really attentive, the hotel grounds are like a piece of paradise absolutely beautiful. The hotel was showing a few signs of wear but they seemed to be on with some renovation work as we visited (this was carried out well and didn't disturb our stay). The local town is also amazing and I would recommend you speak to the staff on the desk about organising any trips you have in mind we got a great deal on a private boat down the Mekong river. All in all a great place to stay. One final note was that the breakfast was brilliant, huge variety and new local dishes each day to try.
