Our stay at The Hoxton Lloyd in Amsterdam exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and always happy to help with recommendations or anything we needed throughout our stay. The hotel itself is beautifully designed. The décor is stylish, warm, and inviting, creating a comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to relax after a day of exploring Amsterdam. Our room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The standout experience, however, was the breakfast. Without question, it was the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. The selection was outstanding, with an abundance of fresh, high-quality options. There were plenty of protein choices, delicious pastries, a fantastic yogurt bar with toppings, fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juices, and so much more. Everything was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. The Hoxton Lloyd combines exceptional hospitality, thoughtful design, immaculate accommodations, and an unforgettable breakfast. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Only thing not amazing about this hotel was the location. And that turned out to be not as bad as we initially thought. Terrific staff, lovely accommodation (very comfortable and stylish). Didn’t love the all ($30 buffet) or nothing breakfast situation. But has a great bar and outside terrace. We would go back.

Spacious and quirky (beautiful) room in a spacious and unique hotel. Great location close to the tram. Quick ride to Centraal station or take the long walk along the water. Highly recommend.

Our room was roomy and clean. There was a queen sized bed by the window, the bathroom was in the middle, and the bunk beds were by the door. The airflow in the section by the bunk beds was a bit lacking. So when we turned the temperature down to 22 C, the area by the queen sized bed was cool, but the area near the bunk beds remained stuffy. The location is a bit out of the way. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to Amsterdam Centraal by foot and tram.

This isn’t the first Hoxton I’ve stayed at, but I won’t return until they work out some issues. First, there’s so outside ramp to bring up your luggage. Second, like a lot of Europe, there are few rooms with air conditioning. Europe is undergoing a historic heat wave, and as much as the hotel tries with fans, my first room was sweltering. ONE window opened a crack, and after a rough night sleep, the staff moved me to a room below ground. I then discovered a paper towel, a previous guest’s underwear and no TV remote control. I had to ask the front desk twice for a remote. While the restaurant is lovely, and the staff there are great, this particular property needs some adjustments.
