Room clean front desk staff very helpful and friendly

Great location, clean room and very comfortable bed.

The staff at the reception desk was great and friendly. It was a speedy check in process and they offered great recommendations. The bar was great, Nick, the bartender was attentive and knowledgeable about beers and whiskey, important part of the trip. The room was decent and the gym did its job.

Beds absolutely awful really uncomfortable

Lovely hotel, majority of the staff were friendly. Great breakfast. Location was perfect. Only negative was the cleaning staff, I’m a morning person and every time I encountered one of the cleaning staff and wished them good morning I was ignored. Reception staff and breakfast staff were lovely and helpful in every possible way.

Starting with the good part. The staff at breakfast couldn't have been more pleasant, welcoming and helpful. A lovely start to each of our three days. We had an issue with one of the twin beds which we didn't notice until a late bed time and thus we couldn't speak to reception until the following morning. There was an issue with the "topper" mattress where it appeared to have been washed at an incorrect temperature, there were lumps the size of soup plates. We reported it to reception and went out for the day. On our return, the topper quite clearly hadn't been changed. We went back to reception who contacted housekeeping who reported they had no more "toppers" and that they were being ordered. I pointed out to reception that this didn't rectify the issue we had. We were offered another room as a solution. Not ideal with the hassle of repacking our luggage again, but certainly a remedy. It appears that no one would have dealt with the topper situation had we not complained about it twice. Both rooms were slightly tired. Scuffs on the paintwork on the walls. There was a seal from one of the windows that had become detached. The dial cover fell off the shower tap and also on the electronic key fob on the door. As mentioned at the beginning, the breakfast dinning room staff were exceptional. Unfortunately the same buzz couldn't be said for the reception staff. No real interest or engagement with the guests.

Ideal location if going to a show at the playhouse and for eating close by. Also shops not far either

I want to complain about the breakfast charge, the receptionist told me us 12.5 GBP per person, 2 persons for 25.0 GBP and converted to CAD will be around $50. But the bank statement shown around $68! Really unacceptable and please check it out for me! Thanks!

Staff were very friendly. Hotel refurbishment is beautiful. Highly recommend.

Room was lovely we were in room 501 the only thing was my friend who is disabled couldn’t get a shower as the floor was too slippery! There wasn’t a mat for inside there was some things in shower tray but it didn’t stop me slipping.. staff were lovely front of house & restaurant staff were very good

Staff very helpful

3 day stay under 2 bookings. Merged on arrival to avoid having to change rooms. However locked out of room on day 1 and room not cleaned by 13:00. Not a good start
