This hotel is amazing. It's undergone a dramatic transformation. I first booked this hotel in 1992, when it was called Hotel 81 Classic. In 2026 (34 years later), I booked it again, with a remarkable transformation. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The hotel is surrounded by a food court, fresh fruit stalls, and fresh juices. It's close to public transportation, including the MRT and bus.

If you are claustrophobic, then it won't be suitable for you. Pillow is too soft and when we called for the night shift receptionist for extra pillow, he didn't bother to call us back. Our room was upgraded by the customer service oriented personnel at the counter. He's friendly and very welcoming 👍Room is very clean and comfortable.

Much better than expected. Place is recently renovated, clean, tidy. Staff is friendly and helpful. Grab-friendly as well. 10 - 12 min walk to nearest MRT and shopping center. Would def consider this place again in the future.

The receptionists were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable but so very tiny: the bed was pushed to the wall; the fridge door can't open fully; practically no storage for clothes- only a few hangers! & the windows had wooden louvers, so no outside view! The room was facing the road, so there is noise from the traffic. It's not ideal for longer stsys.

Nice boutique hotel and decent room size too for Singapore which are very small normally. Nice enough location although not in CBD. Many foods options for all tastes. All in all highly recommended and good value for money. Ideal for Solo or couple only travellers.

Good value option for a short stay in Singapore. Close enough to an MRT station if your luggage isn’t too heavy, and close to Changi airport by Grab/taxi too. Lots of places to eat close by. Friendly staff upon at check in and check out too!

I really enjoyed staying here. I stayed for four nights for a transit stay and it has a great location. The bathroom was pretty small to the point of almost being uncomfortable to use the toilet, but other than that, it was great.

Air conditioning EXCELLENT each time we returned home it was a welcome relief!!! 😅 The staff including Wee, Jeffrey, Carole & Alph were wonderful. Friendly, hospitable and went out of their way to assist us with local knowledge and help as we needed. Best hosts ever!!!!

This hotel was so cute and quaint and in a very convenient location to public transit. The staff is absolutely lovely and attentive and helpful. Amenities were clean, and easy to navigate. Room was small but perfect for my short stay! Thank you for an awesome stay. Would recommend!

When we first got to the hotel, Alph Tan was there to check us in. Additionally, he offered us many places to visit and was overall very friendly and approachable. The room was also well maintained. Each time we got back to the hotel at night, the room would always look brand new, thanks to the room service staff, Firdaus. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Filipino lady up front at the desk was reqlly really friendly. Bus station 2-minute walk, with the direct buses straight to the airport and the city . 12 minute walk away is the PLQ mall and main metro station . PLQ mall has all the shops. This hotel is located on same Street as the paranakan houses which is a heritage site. Hawker stalls are all over this place. I had breakfast at "what the puff "... Be careful at these rooms are very small... I take managed to get the bigger room which can fit your suitcase on the floor.. the smaller rooms had no room for large suitcases. Bathrooms were nice and big and very modern . When we were allowed to use the swimming pool in the sister hotel next door. Overall, this place is best bang for your book

Hotel was ok for a short stay but rhe family room was very small. Hard to open your luggage up and be comfy. Main gripe for me was no window, it was obstructed by shutters so it felt a bit stuffy. No breakfast or amenities but great location for food snd markets. Was good value for money.

I absolutely loved hotels location. Very close to many food places. Shopping centre. Close to bus stops and MRT ( very walkable distance 5 - 10 minutes). Staff is very nice ,friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
