Melia Lebreros

This review is in praise for the night manager Juan Carlos at the Melia Lebreros. Stayed there the nights before and after a wonderful trip to visit small towns in Andalucia. That last evening we had an outing and before leaving noticed the a/c was not working as usual. Since we were pressed for time, we figured if we left it on the room should cool. This didn't happen as expected. We had an early flight -- had to leave at 6am for the airport, so my husband was concerned about getting sleep. We didn't expect much, but called the front desk to see if they could send someone. They did. The man tinkered for about 20 mins-30 mins and gave his verdict. Nothing he could do. The hotel should give us another room, he said. In 10 minutes they called to tell us that they would give us another room on the same floor to sleep and we could keep all our things in our original room. The manager came up to help us move. We did not keep the room, we chose to move everything as the room was almost opposite from ours and we had packed to be ready for our early morning depa Kudos to the Melia for having such an efficient staff. In these robotic days, we really felt the hotel cared for our comfort. Melia is a modern hotel, small rooms, with very good location, easy access to public transportation and two large shopping malls, about 5 minutes from the train station, and there is even an airport bus less than 100 meters away. Great hotel in good location with easy transport links to and from airport and into centre. Gym and pool was fab. Drinks good. Only negative was the anti tourism protestors outside hotel 3 mornings in a row.

The pool hours were not as they had said online and I am a swimmer I was not allowed to go into the pool. They were very stingy with their towels, and none of the staff speaks English, which is shocking for a large chain like that the older staff had no English experience I asked for to exchange my wet towel for a dry towel at the pool and I was literally treated like a criminal. Do not stay here. They are dismissive. I left this morning at 6:30 AM to the airport. None of the people at the reception said thank you for staying. What is your room? Can we help you none of it they’re arrogant dismissive and non-inclusive staff do not stay here. The room was dark, barely a window, and they didn’t make my room twice in two days bad management.

Very nice hotel. Lovely room, all well presented and clean. Bit of a walk into the historical centre though.

Clean room. Shopping center across the street; walking distance to the stadium and train station. Perfect location.

Very helpful staff when we had a few issues that needed attention - very quickly service. Check in was very quick eventhough the email advertising touts that if you fill out certain info ahead of time ( which we did) we could just "pick up the keys" which in fact is not entirely true since you still have to again give your passport and your credit card and some personal info. The food at brfst buffet was fabulous and so was food at Mafia next door ( not sure if its associated with the hotel)

We had stayed at junior suite and everything was just perfect. Highly recommend!

Everything was fine, felt a bit corporate, but it’s a huge hotel so that’s expected.

Very nice hotel a little far from downtown but easy to drive around

room was dirty, bad smell in rooms and terrible hot rooms, no AC, the only good thing is the lobby, please stay away from this hotel.
