Matterhorn Inn - Wellness & Dining - at Zermatt Shuttle Station

Clean and comfortable. Lovely bar area. Excellent location for the train station.

The check in process was smooth and Karin was great. The overall stay was fine the room was comfortable and clean, nothing special. The location is good and close to walk to the train station. Unfortunately the check out process was terrible. We had a flight we had to go to Geneva to catch so wanted to leave at 7am, right when reception opened. However the staff were not ready for use and were rude when we asked for their help.

Lobby locks down and doesn't open again until 7am. So if you are planning an early coffee and getting some work done - don't. We were "upgraded" from this hotel to another hotel - which meant, I had to pack my bags and walk another 1/8 mile to the next hotel rather than enjoy the hotel I had booked.

Our room was adequate, however the bathroom sink was blocked and wouldn’t drain, with dirt and hair coming up from the pipe. We had to ask the staff to sort it twice before it was actioned. The bins weren’t emptied for the three days that we stayed there. On the plus side we ate in the restaurant and the food was plentiful and tasted great. The hotel is in a great location situated right opposite the railway station with regular trains into Zirmatt.

Everything was great except one - parking. Every time, I take my car out, I had to pay the parking fee, which was not reasonable for customers for the hotel.

Wonderful hotel in a great location!

We arrived at late night and the check in was easy via the kiosk. The night manager who let us inside the hotel was very helpful and so the service was excellent. With regards to amenities, we would have loved to have the chiller inside the room on a hot summer day. Overall, our stay was excellent and will look into booking again.

We were upgraded to the Porta Cervino hotel. The staff and service were excellent They went the extra mile to make guests welcome and comfortable. I have everything good to say about the staff service and the hotel amenities. From Thomas at the reception to the General Manager Yannic. Only wish they had air conditioning though it was cool at night do we opened the windows in the evening for a bit. Also, we visited during the peak of the heat wave in Europe. I would definitely stay again at Porta Cervino.

Helpful staff

We were upgraded to the sister hotel down the street, which was new and had a great parking garage. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great. My only issue, is these hotels were both on a main road. Not, overlooking a lake as portrayed. They were convienent to the train station to Zermatt. But, definitely more in a city than countryside. We also wished there were windows we could open. We had to keep our deck door open at night, which was a bummer because people kept smoking outside.

A little over priced for what you get as the bathroom is very small. No privacy on balcony and the bed is 2 single beds when I booked a double, which was disappointing as when you pay so much you hope for a proper double bed not 2 singles pushed together. I also asked them not to make our beds when I went to drop my laundry off and said to just drop off clean towels with clean laundry and they made our beds anyway which was not ideal as I had my belongings on the bed and asked them not to and I didn’t hang the “make my room” sign.. it made me upset to come back to my belongings being moved when I went through so much effort to avoid that. The laundry was so expensive as well and don’t think they listened to my instructions to wash on delicate. The sauna was the best part. Place looks better in photos. I don’t like how deceiving the photos are on every hotel that we book, the places never look as good as the photos.

The hotel was very cozy, quite and the surrounding was super picturesque and beautiful. The cleaning was very good. It's very much easily accessible to train station and grocery store. The staff is very cooperative. Overall superb experience.

Few images are not actual- no lare around here… hotel is great location, well maintained and very clean. Mountain viewon some sides othera are partially blocked, overall a good place to stay and enjoy

I got an upgrade to their 4 star resort Hotel Porta Cervino. It is brand new property and is really good. Great rooms with Balcony, coffee machine, accesible charging points.

Wonderful views from our balcony, very clean and comfortable, would recommend.

The hotel is clean and the rooms are specious. My room was extremely hot and you don’t have a way of changing the temperature of the heat since it’s set that way for the entire hotel. I was able to open a window which helped with that. I didn’t like that there’s a fee to park your car.

Rooms were very nice and had amazing views from the balconies. The on-site spa was even better than we anticipated.

It is Switzerland so expensive but well worth the money spent. The staff was friendly and easy to communicate with. The room was clean and the spa was a nice way to end the evening
