What Guests Say About Their Stay

Luxurious hotel with large, well-setup rooms, twice-daily housekeeping (except Sunday?), and good facilities like breakfast. If your stay qualifies, you get access to a stocked lounge. The fitness center was decent as well (no swimming pool), and the staff were very helpful. The hotel has dark furnishings and feels like an oasis from the outside world. One side borders the main train station, which makes getting around really easy to the airport and a couple of important MRT lines. The other side borders Zhongshan, which is a fun, hip neighborhood with good food and shopping.

The location is very strategic, near the train station, breakfast is also okay.

Free mini bar is a nice touch. However, the lighting in hotel lobby and the room could be a little brighter. I found it difficult to see well. All in all the hotel and its location are great, clean and convenient. Staff are courteous and helpful. Breakfast buffet is generous and delicious. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel immensely.

This hotel is located very near to the Taipei Main Station as well as next to a great shopping mall with a great food market on the B3 level. Finding the hotel was a challenge coming out of the AirPort Express. You can easily get stuck in the underground streets and get lost. Best to get outside and use Google Maps. They have a great breakfast buffet, but very pricey in Taipei standards.

Breakfast - good spread, include Japanese selection like soba, natto, and small side dishes like onsen egg, cold toufu, seasoned octopus. Also provide cakes which most Taiwan hotels do not include in the breakfast buffet Location - superb because there’s a mall right next to hotel which has shopping and food. Also can go to metro, AirPort Express and HSR via basement Negative: the overall lighting is very dim, in lobby, breakfast dining room and hotel rooms. There’s statues at some common areas which is quite scary due to the dim lighting. Hotel rooms also not ideal due to bathing area is open and only using a curtain. Bathing is using a round tub which is quite high, not good for elderly to climb in and out. In winter, bathing would be very cold since the space is open

If you like niche theme hotel then this is great. However, personally I thought it was a bit OTT, there are plenty of great things about the place and location but it had too much of a business feel rather than a family stay. The staff at check in wasnt the most helpful. I had lost a hat and enquired if it might have been mislaid there. The desk staff just ask for my passport and ID 3 times. Rather than saying, 'How can I help?' This gave me the feel that it is very business and formal environment. Would I stay again, probably not with loads of alternative options in the area.

There was a light on the mirror facing the bed that was unable to switch off. It made the room bright overnight. If I could switch it off, it would be better. Also the round bathtub near the entrance was a bit high.

This is a nice upper scale hotel of the traditional era. The decor is very peaceful and the staff are very kind. I wish the water pressure for making a bath was better. It takes a long time to prepare a bath, but it is nice to have bath salts supplied by the hotel. Also, the AC fan is very loud and the room had too much humidity. The breakfast had many options and the food was tastly. However, you cannot order a raw egg for your rice (or nato). There is also no 'easy over' option when ordering eggs. So, preparation of the eggs with a soft yolk was always a hit or miss! In all, I think the value is good and the hotel is conveniently located next to the TPE main station.
