Rooms definitely need updating…from furniture to beds to bathroom. Hotel is well situated minutes walking to boardwalk, La Citadel, ferry, casino etc. We walked to everything and more.

the only thing I really liked was the location of the hotel I don't like your house keeping policy that you don't clean rooms everyday Your staff can't give advise on where to go in the area when the staff cleans they do a good job the restaurant on the premises was the worst experience I've ever had staff was unprofessional and not friendly our order was taking so long that the waitress came over and asked if we still wanted it

Great location, but needs some major upgrades. The AC was not working and being on the 3rd floor it was so hot in the room. The pool was murky and the floor around it was dirty. The hot tub looked to be filled in with concrete and the sauna was broken, even though there wasn't a sign saying so. The staff wasn't the most friendly. I wouldn't recommend unless there is nothing available in the area.

The hotel was ok. Staff were helpful. The rooms are not very noise isolated. The sauna in the men's changing room in the gym complex needs some maintenance as it doesn't work.

The best thing about this property is location and the restaurant. The hotel itself needs to be refurbished and some modern air conditioning units that work.

Hotel was a great location to the boat races and Halifax area. Beautiful lobby and help-front desk went out of their way to accommodate us. Rooms were a little run down, but still good enough for what we wanted

The Barrington is located exactly where we needed to be.

historic place, pool was nice not a deep pool, very inconvenient for parking and having to walk far to get to the hotel. room was fine

Overall the location was the reason why we chose the hotel. Room was adequate. Don’t like the fact we paid for parking given the charge per night. Hotel looks antiquated

Overpriced due to the location, hasn’t been updated in a long time. Musty smell, carpets in dire need of replacing or deep clean. Listing said parking could be validated, but front desk said no. The beds are comfy though!
