My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Forest Park Hotel. Everything was great, save for the poor soundproofing - you could literally hear the conversations right outside your room. For gym goers, do note that the hotel’s fitness centre is currently under renovation, and the alternative is the gym at The Crimson’s which is about 3 blocks down the street (10 mins walk away, 2 mins drive). Laundromat is available on-site as well at $3 a wash, but we used the one at Marmot Lodge right beside the hotel, and it was slightly cheaper at $2 a wash, $2 per drying session.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The room was new, spacious, clean, and well maintained. The bathroom was modern and comfortable, and the furniture was in excellent condition. The service met expectations, with staff providing a professional and courteous experience. However, there is room for improvement. Finding the room was quite difficult because the directional signage was unclear. Carrying luggage was also inconvenient, as there was no lift and guests had to use the stairs. In addition, there was a noticeable paint/thinner smell in the corridors, which detracted from the overall experience. With clearer signage, better accessibility for guests with luggage, and improved ventilation to eliminate the paint odour, this hotel would offer a much more enjoyable stay.

The lobby decoration is exquisite, adding a touch of elegance to the overall atmosphere. While the swimming pool is visually appealing, it does have a strong odor of chlorine, which might be off-putting to some guests. However, the check-in process is efficient and informative, ensuring a smooth start to your stay. As Jasper is a bustling city during the summer months, it is advisable to book the Forest Park Hotel as soon as possible to secure your preferred dates.
