Good stay in Cardiff

The room was lovely. It was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower had great pressure. Staff were all really nice and friendly. I didn't get to the spa or pool but everything was great for a wonderful stay. Also, very close to Cardiff Castle, the city center area, and the university.

Very good Gym and Pool

Nice hotel stayed here previously and it was great , so booked to return for a special occasion with friends, contacted the hotel prior to visit to ask fir rooms on the same floor preferably near to each as we were celebrating 2 special birthdays Unfortunately this was a complete waste of time as when we arrived we were one on the first floor and the other on 4 th So disappointed they supposedly upgraded us but to floors 3 and 4 still not together such a a disappointing experience

Had booked a twin bedded room but was given a king bed. Didn’t bother going back down to change. Went to the bar before leaving for a drink and food. Finished our drinks and waited but no food appeared (only ordered fries) so when questioned it was going to be a few more minutes so had to get a refund as catching a train. Otherwise nice location and hotel.

Very friendly and helpful reception on arrival. The room was clean and tidy and the location was perfect. Didn’t have time to use the spa facilities but they were complimentary so worth packing your swimming trunks and gym kit. Will certainly visit again.

Very comfortable stay. Bathroom was well designed with (very rare for the UK) a powerful shower. The bedroom was a little stuffy as we were unable to open any windows, the ac was fine. Breakfast was fine, not sure why more seasonal fruit is not available but that still seems to be the norm nowadays. Swimming pool was a plus. Overall a very good hotel.

The standout for the hotel was the receptionist that greeted us on arrival, it was during the last heatwave and we had travelled from London by train, he was very professional, the bed was very comfortable and the room large, the air con was a little patchy we kept having to reset it, maintenance was coming to fix it towards the end of our stay. We used the swimming pool, which maybe could of done with a lifeguard because there were slightly irritating swimmers splashing etc

Hotel was clean. Check in not available on time but put the bags in storage for a while, so not too inconvenient. Good location.

Good service from staff overall. Only comment was slow to respond to calls in morning. Spa/massage excellent.

Really enjoyed our stay blackout curtains were unreal no light bleed i woke up thinking it was the middle of the night best sleep for a long time

Nice Big king size bed and very big room and right in town .

Nice hotel, centrally based with a great pool and gym. Parking is across the road in an NCP car park and with a discount costs about £23 but when they machine doesn’t work you have to pay full price online at £35 because it won’t accept the code. That aside everything else was perfect and the staff were lovely too.

Road noise was annoying form our room but that can’t be helped. Dinner/breakfast, bar and reception staff amazing . Food at restaurants was lovely. Spa facilities were good and busy. Room is clean tidy with lovely shower.

Is a stunning place to stay, we had a great stay, beds are super comfy and spacious

Very surprised we got a upgrade with our room from a superior to a exsecative room what a lovely room very large room with a bath and a shower amazing bed was a large size for my Daughter and myself and what a nice touch with the gift basket full of goodies had a great evening seeing Lewis capaldi at Blackweir fields he was amazing and in the morning for breakfast we were greeted by Omar who showed us to our table what a lovely man he even took a picture of myself and my Daughter at our table nothing was to much trouble and what a lovely breakfast we had I think I had to much but it was lovely all the same, but if we get the chance to stay in Cardiff again I would definitely recommend the Park plaza hotel we both had a wonderful stay Thank you so much.❤️

The hotel is tired and has an overwhelming smell of stale smoke in the hallways and bedrooms. Staff were friendly but miscommunication between the front desk and housekeeping, meant that requests were missed or forgotten. Best bit of the hotel is the bar and outdoor terrace. The pool was lovely but the changing rooms were not. Definitely gives off conference vibes - would not stay there for pleasure.

Park view Superior room was spacious, light and added bonus that you could open a window for fresh air. Beautifully styled property. Bar could do with small snacks to purchase.

We paid for a room with air conditioning and it did not function, we asked for another room nothing available, had to sleep the night in a stuffy not room, not even a fan available. Never again
