Metro Aspire Hotel Sydney

The location was fantastic, the staff members were very kind and helpful, and the rooms were clean. That said, the beds/pillows were pretty uncomfortable—our king bed was two twins combined, which meant that one or both of us ended up on the crack at various points through the night, and the pillows were completely flat. Additionally, the lighting situation wasn't great. Very intense bulbs, and figuring out how to operate the bathroom light without also turning on/off the whole room lighting was unintuitive (maybe that's just a "not from Australia" thing, but I'm certain I'm not the only international guest; a little guidance would've been helpful!). I was also surprised by how loud the hotel was: they're strict about guest noise and hours, which I appreciate, but there was somehow SO MUCH banging in the hallway and upstairs very early and at night. Worth noting for solo travelers, too: there isn't a latch on the room door. A little maintenance in the bathroom, light soundproofing, warmer lighting, plusher pillows, and some basic amenities in the room (drinking glasses, for example) would make a world of difference.

I really enjoyed my stay here while traveling. The hotel is in a quiet part of town. Easy walking to a few nearby restaurants. If you want to explore the city more, you can rent those Lime bikes at the corner. The room was large and very clean. AC worked perfectly. A nice table to do some work. The bed was very comfortable. I didn’t try their breakfast but it looked great. I highly recommend walking over to Cornerstone Cafe, they are amazing. The price was excellent considering you are right in the city, it is a great deal. Parking is available but you pay extra. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

It was noisy

This was my third time at this hotel and this stay was not as good as my other stays. It was really the room itself that was the problem. Just seemed like a room that has been neglected. There was mold in the bathroom and the curtains. The bed was very uncomfortable. You ask for a queen bed and get two singles put together. It’s a good price compared to other hotels in the area and the staff are excellent. It’s a good stay for one night, but I wouldn’t stay there for a long stay

The room was very large, really good value. The breakfast was also great value. Staff were helpful and the location is an easy walk to Central Station but on a quiet street, the best of both worlds. Highly recommended.

Location for easy walking to all transport systems

Very clean tidy room staff was excellent plus service ..parking was very convenient under the hotel ..only the breakfast was disappointing every thing was supper cold sausages ..cooked tomatoes ..coffee was not hot and scrambled eggs was cold we went in at opening time 7 am maybe it takes a while to heat up in the bain-marie .. besides that plenty of places just a few minutes walk to have breakfast great location for a hotel we enjoyed staying there

Great central location to City, short walk to light rail and buses and restaurants etc. Daniel (staff member) accommodated us when there was a fault with the TV set by organising another room within 10mins.

Great place to stay close to central station. We stayed on a Saturday night and it was very noisy as the rooms arent very soundproof.
