The Alison Randwick

For clarity this was for a quick overnighter to see a gig at the Hordern. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room and shared bathroom were clean and tidy. Room was small however suited the purpose perfectly. The bed was comfy however felt a bit short, I’m 186 cm so that might be why haha. Otherwise a great little spot for a quick stay. Highly recommended. I’ll keep the Alison in mind for my next visits to Sydney. 4 more in 2026 !

Had a great time with all I needed

I was in the room nearest the back door to the shared kitchen. That door was right next to my bed and quite noisy at night and early morning. Could it be fitted with a soft close mechanism? It would make it easier to sleep. Thanks.

AC didn’t work…second time in the same room with bad aircon. But otherwise good.

Everything was spotless and clean

Great location with good onsite parking. We received a warm welcome and between the room, and the common kitchen and laundry we had everything we needed for a very comfortable long weekend stay

I stayed at Alison Lodge Hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was mixed. On my first night, I was placed in a room where I couldn’t sleep until 3:30 a.m. due to constant door banging from other guests. When I approached the South American (or Spanish) receptionist in the morning, I was met with a cold, rude response—she dismissively told me they didn’t have control over other guests. After insisting, I was finally moved to a quieter room, but the receptionist didn’t apologize and remained very arrogant. That being said, Grace, her colleague, was absolutely wonderful—she was warm, welcoming, and genuinely apologized, showing what great customer service should look like. If you stay here, I hope you get to experience Grace’s hospitality, but unfortunately, my first impression was quite negative.

Easy access to city.

Pretty basic room but done the job Budget friendly I’d like To give a special mention to the lady on check in She was so nice and helpful and made the process very smooth great customer service Which can be rare in this day and age .

Property fine but no smoking anywhere. Made things difficult for me with 2 small kids. Also don't appreciate being discriminated against for something legal. Shower in room TERRIBLE.

This was intended to be a staycation, but the air conditioning didn't work and there was a large amount of noise from other occupants throughout the night (e.g. floors creaked and all doors seemed to slam automatically). My experience was extremely sub-par, and I ended up driving home early (11:30pm) as I could not sleep here.

Great room, everything was clean. Receptionist was awesome

Excellent hotel, room was spacious, lovely staff. Only downside was the noise from the road.

Centrally located , and within walking distance to the light rail and all the shops and cafe around Randwick. It was a family trip to attend my son ‘s graduation , which we booked for four rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative feedback from me is one of the room 103 , the air conditioning was malfunctioned and there is no hairdryer in room 101. Overall all were good.

Parking was easy and secure. Staff very helpful.
