YEHS Hotel Sydney CBD

My wife and I stayed at YEHS Hotel Sydney CBD for three nights from 22 to 25 May. The location is outstanding—just a five-minute walk from the train station and within easy walking distance of many of Sydney’s major attractions. The majority of the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. However, our check-in experience was less than satisfactory. Although I had fully paid for the accommodation through the Expedia app, the receptionist requested my credit card at check-in. When I politely asked for the reason, I was told, rather abruptly, that it was "for security purposes," despite our passports also being provided for identification and photocopying. I view this as an isolated recruitment and training issue rather than a reflection of the hotel as a whole, as every other interaction during our stay met or exceeded our expectations. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the hotel's excellent location and service.

Two out of three nights I noticed short black hair strands on the pillow of my well made bed. I also got many mosquito bites from my time there. Location is convenient and front desk is friendly but not a very clean place unfortunately.

The location was convenient, and the room was OK given its size. However, the air conditioning was fixed at 19°C and could not be adjusted, aside from fan speed. When I raised this concern, I was offered a heater. While 19°C may be suitable overnight, it is not a comfortable temperature for most people during the day.

Great location at CBD. Close to everything. As a female solo traveler, safety and convenience are my top priorities. This hotel works. My room was small and there is no view. My window faces another wall. But I don’t mind. The room was quiet and I got good rest after each day’s outing. No complaints.

The staff were great, very friendly and would go out of their way to help me out. The room was clean, the shower was awesome.. will be back again !!!

The AC was the easiest/clearest to operate in any hotel we've stayed at. Staff were smiling, friendly, forthcoming with information & we were even given breakfast boxes.

Property location was excellent close to shops public transport. Had a really good shower but the room itself very small not even room for a chair apart from the bed not sure where you were

Room was small but beds were comfortable despite the mattresses sliding around on the bases and the sheets and foam topper not fitting well. Would have been VERY helpful to have some hooks in the room since the closet was extremely tiny and hard to get to. Bathroom had a venting issue with warnings of steam setting off the fire alarm and customer having to pay the false alarm fee. Great location though!

Have stayed here multiple times. Love the location and staff are fabulous
