Good economic stop. The breakfast was solid

My family and I booked this hotel months in advance for a family wedding, and our stay was very disappointing. Our first room was extremely hot, and the air conditioning did not work. We barely slept due to the heat. The next morning, maintenance couldn’t fix it, so we were moved to another room. Shortly after settling in, we were told that room was already reserved and had to move again. By the third room we were frustrated and exhausted, only to find the TV didn’t work properly either. The hotel felt outdated and poorly maintained. While the pool and location were fine, being moved three times in one stay was completely unacceptable. I am very disappointed and waiting to speak with management.

The staff are kind and helpful. The hotel and room were very clean. But the hotel is old... And hasn't had a major renovation in decades. Maintained but feels a bit worn down.

Upon check-in after a long flight from Edmonton, it took over half an hour to get my room. The staff was speaking in a foreign language and I could hardly understand him. He could not understand for the life of him that I had booked a room through Expedia. I showed him email confirmation and a receipt proving I purchased a room on my app and he kept saying it wasn’t booked. After a lengthy phone call with whom ever, he gets me a room finally only to discover a woman with service dogs is already in the room. Had to go back to the Front Desk and get a new room. Not a pleasant experience after a long flight and then the drive to the hotel at after 1:30 am.

Overall, a great place to stay. It is due for some cosmetic updates throughout though.

Terrible. Our keys didn't work. The room across from us very roudy. Didn't have a different room. So we got refunded and left

Hotel needs some upgrading, room looked run down, lampshades taped up instead of replaced. View of roof was unpleasant (tarps, tape, and cords all over ) Staff were pleasant.

Staff at front desk was hard to find because they where doing multiple jobs. Was also surprised to learn of additional hotel tax I had to pay on arrival.

We liked the layout , the staff was kind and helpful, our room was clean. The bed was a little old and not too comfortable. I give it 9/10 weeks will be back

King size bed very comfortable, a good sleep, cleanliness passible, could give a good spring clean up to the washroom floors and baseboards, tile grout dirty. And toilet needs to be adjusted as it’s wobbly, noisy when you finally sat on it. Rip up carpet in bedroom, or do a good shampoo to cleanse it. We didn’t have the breakfast, and complimentary coffee in room isn’t very good, probably the coffee machine needs cleaning??. Staff one lady at entrance /check-in very pleasant. Would I stay here again, probably not.

Breakfast was fresh. Good parking. I would go back if needed to reserve a room again.

The beds are said to be queen on Hotels.com. They ate NOT queen!

We chose this hotel because Best Western markets itself as clean, safe, and family-friendly, with amenities like pools and breakfast. Unfortunately, this stay did not reflect that standard. This is my second concerning experience with Best Western. During a previous stay at Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn & Conference Centre, there were hazards including a protruding nail and unsafe pool conditions that led to a child being injured. This stay was worse. A staff member knocked and entered our room before I could respond while I was inside with my children and half dressed. This was a serious breach of privacy and safety. The room itself felt unsafe. The bathtub tap came off in our hands, flooring had visible gaps and uneven areas that could easily cause a fall, and electrical outlets were loose. We were moved to a second room, however the conditions were similar, indicating this was not an isolated issue. Cleanliness was unacceptable. There was thick dust throughout, and we found visible blood stains on the comforter that appeared to have been previously marked but not removed. The pool area showed clear water damage and maintenance concerns. Overall, this property appears poorly maintained, with patchwork repairs creating additional hazards. This environment is not consistent with Best Western’s values or a family-friendly brand and is hazardous to both guests and employees.
