Hôtel AC Montréal Centre-ville

On the plus side, the hotel is beautiful and the restaurant/bar (Le Palma) just inside the entrance is excellent. And the location was very convenient for the jazz festival. On the negative side, my 7th floor room was subject to considerable street noise until well after midnight. And the room itself was spartan. Both the shower and the toilet were in side-by-side closets. Imagine a clothes closet but when you slide the door you discover a narrow shower. When you step out of the shower closet, getting water on the floor is unavoidable. That's why the flooring in the room is a waterproof vinyl made to look like light hardwood flooring. The hotel shares the building with condos, and during my stay, everyone had to walk downstairs in response to the fire alarm. Apparently, a condo owner had a problem with a smoke detector.

Spacious and in a convenient location

Great hotel to stay at for Jazz Festival! Just a few minutes walk from an entrance and the pool on the 12th floor looks out to the festival main stage.

Everything was okay except for the inner sliding door of the lobby. The elevation of that track abruptly stopped my luggage wheels and caused my kneecap hitting hard on the hardcase suitcase handle. An astute pain that almost impaired my walking and lasted for a good two hours! This was on my way out leaving the hotel, which certainly left a very bitter taste despite a largely good stay here. I hope you guys would fix it before it hurts yet another guest! Other than that, Adam at the FO was a tremendous delight to have for any guest and he deserves a medal for his big smiles and great hospitality that really made this Montreal trip special.

We stayed 6 days. Location was excellent, aside from it being a main throroughfare ( sirens and road work noise) Pool, sauna and hottub along with terrace and gym facilities were clean and beautiful. The lobby lavender and daily flavoured cool water were pleasant and appreciated surprises. The library around the corner of the lobby was also a pleasant and serene discovery. Housekeeping was responsive as needed for a refresh vs a full cleaning. One thing to note was that the bathrooms don't have venting so it can get a bit stuffy/stinky after a bathroom visit - apparently a known issue throughout. A propped open door for a while helped considerably. The Mile end cocktail in La Palma was fantastic, however the food there were not impressive. Overall we will return again, as this was the best of the four hotels that we have stayed at in Montreal over the years.

Excellent hotel! Excellent staff!

Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Recommended different places to visit for a first timer to Montreal. A little bit difficult to control the air conditioning. It was cooler at night, I turned to heating mode, in the middle of the night, it jumped back to cooling mode. I enjoyed the pool and whirlpool. In general, a very pleasant stay

Convenient location with good transportation options.

The location is perfect for exploring Montreal. Easy walking to old Montreal and shopping areas. Great location to use bus to and from the airport. Staff was very helpful. Room was good but might not suit all travellers as layout is different with no “bathroom “.

Great hotel! Very clean with a nice bar in the lobby! Amenities are mostly great. Their wifi service was somewhat spotty throughout my stay I ended up using cellular service instead.

The staff were friendly and the pool was nice. Our room was clean and beds were comfy. My main recommendation is that the hotel should have a first aid kit that’s fully stocked. I was rather shocked that they didn’t have bandages available but only for purchase. Otherwise I would give it higher rating.
