I booked a special Mother’s Day stay at the AC Hotel Downtown Montreal for my girlfriend, our 3-month-old baby, and myself, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing.
I specifically booked a King room with a full bathroom, but the bathroom was split into two very small sections, with a tiny shower separated from the toilet area. It was not what I expected based on the booking. I immediately called the front desk and spoke with Adam to request a room change because this was clearly not the room I booked. I explained that we came for a special occasion with our newborn baby, but I was told there were no other rooms available.
The noise throughout the night was also terrible. People were loud in the hallways for hours, and there was constant noise coming from upstairs despite us being on the 10th floor. This hotel seems much more suited for a younger crowd looking for nightlife rather than families trying to relax.
I had also requested a baby crib before arrival, but it was missing when we got to the room and I had to call the front desk again. We were also missing bathrobes and slippers, and the coffee station barely had enough coffee pods and no milk.
The only positive part of the stay was the pool. Honestly, we were happy to leave the next morning. I would not recommend this hotel for families unless you call ahead and confirm the exact room and amenities you booked.
