One King West Hotel & Residence

It’s a alright hotel but for the price you can get a lot better. Having the best address in the city doesn’t makes them the prestige or nicer hotel, it need execution for it. Walked in to my tower suite with a half side was blasted with heat on and other side with AC, one window doesn’t even have a curtain on upon calling them, they sent maintenance and they couldn’t fix and all they did after 30 mins change me to different room which was even worst and collected dust for sometime. AC wasn’t working in this room aswell, I didn’t check because I was rushing for work then came back at 4 am realizing no AC. I wouldn’t be back here. They don’t even have courtesy to fix it when told instead just got that hotel is fully sold out. Well not my problem!

The whole experience at this hotel was excellent .The staff was so helpful in many ways .Thank you we are booked to come back for 3 nights in September looking forward to our stay .

Dont order the ravioli through room service. Four pieces for 35 bucks.

Worse experience Very rude staff

A great hotel overall in a great location. I had a room on the 25th floor of the modern tower and had great views of the city and Lake Ontario. The room was surprisingly quiet, despite being directly across from the elevators. It was very clean and had a kitchenette (mini fridge, two burner cooktop, microwave, and dishwasher) with place settings for two people along with pots and pans. The large TV offered the ability to cast from mobile devices (I couldn't get my iPad to pair with the TV), had built-in apps for YouTube, Netflix, and Crave and even offered access to two HDMI ports. The free wi-fi was reasonably fast, but unsecured, so make you use a VPN. The bathroom was on the small side with a step-in shower (no bathtub). The housekeeping was great, with one minor issue. On my last night, when I returned to my room after being out all day, I noticed housekeeping had removed both hand towels and one bath towel and not replaced them. I didn't bother calling the front desk to request hand towels as the face cloths were big enough to use as a hand towel. The only other "issue" I had was with the showerhead. The flow was so strong I thought it was going to blast the hair off my head. I tried the limited adjustments on the showerhead, but it didn't make much of a difference. A rainfall showerhead would be a big improvement.

The hotel is conveniently located downtown and close to everything you’d want to do. The room itself was nice, spacious, and very clean. Unfortunately, there were several service issues during our stay. The biggest surprise was the $70 overnight parking fee. While there was a small sign at the entrance, no one mentioned the charge when they took our vehicle, so it came as an unexpected expense. We also ordered room service, which was disappointing. In addition, the delivery attendant did not tell us that gratuity was already included, so we ended up tipping twice. Another issue involved a $20 food credit that was included with my Expedia booking. I was not given the required voucher at check-in and didn’t know I needed one. When I asked about it the next day, I was told I should have received it upon arrival. The staff attempted to have the restaurant refund the credit, but because it was the following day, they declined. A supervisor got involved but offered no solution. I was told the credit could not be applied because we paid for room service directly with a credit card instead of charging it to the room, which was never presented as an option. Overall, the hotel itself is nice, and I would consider staying again due to the location and quality of the room. However, better communication regarding fees, credits, and guest options, along with improved customer service, would make for a much better experience. Was really dissatisfied with how the food credit was handled

Pretty outdated stuff. Room was a bit dirty and not really deep cleaned. Pillows smelt like drool.

Easy to drive in, easy parking, easy subway access and easy drive out

Great hotel in a fabulous location close to most of the attractions! The staff are really friendly and I would recommend asking for a room on a higher floor! Our 3rd time staying at the hotel.

We got suite 916 for a really good price. We discovered upon arrival that was because they are doing construction. It looked like some painting but no work was done while we were there so it ended up being a really great deal. Our room was great. There were only two small complaints. The plug on one of the nightstands was not working and the bathroom set up does not allow for much movement when the door is open. We enjoyed the underground PATH access from the hotel and enjoyed the bar/restaurant. Food was delicious.

I have stayed at One King West multiple times and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and I love their beds and pillows.

Great stay for one night! The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is great. We loved having access to the subway from the bank safe-- so cool!

The overall stay and experience was great.

The historical side of the property is less optimal. Stuffy rooms and window that face an inner courtyard.

One King West is an outstanding property for many reasons - it's unique architecture, historical heritage, prime location, signature blend of sophistication and comfort and, most of all, it's exceptional staff who know the true meaning of hospitality and maintain high standards. At the front desk Ethan welcomed me back with his customary combination of charm and warmth and he left no detail overlooked, anticipating everything I could have wanted to make my stay perfect. He told me I would be able to view Victoria Day fireworks from my suite and I arrived just in time for them, as though he had personally organized them, too! I remember the last time I occupied the same suite, Nazmul had my room service order perfectly presented and was ahead of time, waiting at the door when I arrived back to it to receive the most gracious service. Jeremiah was genuinely helpful and solicitous in helping me enter my suite and has on other occasions been a quick-thinking standout, leaving the feeling that guests are in very capable hands.
