What Guests Say About Their Stay

This hotel is not the easiest to find by car but is well worth the effort. You can buy a local parking permit from them at a discount rate of £5 per night. Our room (214) was huge, with a wonderful sea view. The bed was so comfortable, and the bed linen was spotless and excellent quality. There was a coffee pod machine and tea making facilities, with free bottled water and fresh milk in the fridge. The buffet breakfast was lovely and all the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t eat there in the evening as we went to a local event, but the menu looked amazing. I can’t recommend The Bike & Boot highly enough and we would definitely stay there again.

Great position, we managed to park outside near the Travelodge before walking to the hotel. Very friendly welcome. We booked the small room which was very nice, queen size bed, safe in the room, free bottled water, kettle and lavazza coffee machine. Great shower, heated up very quickly, quality shower gel, shampoo conditioner and hand lotion. Free hot drinks in the lounge via machine. Free cookies after 4pm! After our meal out, we came back for a coffee and a hot chocolate. Free films advertised but not working at the moment. We found the window blind didn't keep the light out at the sides, so we woke up at 4am! No body lotion either. We would consider staying again but light pollution would out us off a little.

Another fantastic stay at this hotel. Great value for money. We upgraded to the medium room which is well worth it - spacious room with small table and chairs which was great. Great location. Nice little touch with the free cake and coffee in the afternoons. Had breakfast this time which was included. I’m not sure id pay the £15 for it as an extra but lovely that it was included and nice start to our days.

Great location and well kept hotel. We stayed in a medium sea view room and had a great stay. The customer service was also very good. The only thing I would skip next time is the breakfast as it wasn’t to our liking. Will happily stay again. Parking is limited and very tight!

Very professional and friendly welcome, parking straightforward and lovely room (106) which had 3 large full length windows overlooking the Spa bridge and the sea. Towels lush. The bar, restaurant and lounge areas were all clean and comfortable. The only negative I have is the breakfast. They advertise only continental available which is fair enough but the pastries were very stale on the second day. Nothing is covered eg bread and cereals and jam is in big pots only so have to spoon onto your plate. Butter is a small pot on the table, otherwise it is Flora. All self serve including an egg boiler which I failed at twice! They did also provide bacon, scrambled, beans and pancakes on a random rickity table which lets the hotel down. The area and presentation could be improved quite easily with just a few changes in fresh products every day and clean covers/spoons to serve. All that said I would recommend this hotel to anyone, location is perfect and staff are excellent. Oh not to forget free coffee/teas all day and fresh cake or biscuits daily at 4pm!!

Great views of the seaside, wonderful staff and really good location. The common areas are very welcoming, and the restaurant serves great food. Unfortunately, the windows were in poor condition and the noise from the road, the race course and the wind made it really difficult to relax during the day and to sleep at night. Earplugs 100% recommended. They also let the cold in at night, so don't be deceived by the high temperature in the rooms/building during the day.
