Beautiful cosy double room full of amenities, mini bar, fridge and Nespresso machine, and fresh milk! Lovely modern bathroom. Rooms hot in the heatwave we are experiencing but a fan was provided and I took my own. Hotel provided extra bottled cold water to help which was a nice touch. Loved the local honey given as a gift in the rooms. Had dinner and breakfast. Both very good. Lovely staff team too. Would highly recommend

We had a upper floor room facing the sun most of the day. It got extremely hot with only a fan to try and cool it. Unable to sleep at night the temperature of the room was unbearable. Air-conditioning is definitely needed. Made a complaint and was given a full refund. (One good thing about the stay.) Sonning is a great place to visit.

The room was lovely very clean and very spacious. The hotel is very pretty and situated by the river . The let down was the restaurant. We waited 20 mins to get a drink and the staff were very uninterested and the food was only average.

It was a lovely hotel and the room was gorgeous. We enjoyed a nice drink by the river as the sun was setting and it was so picturesque. However, we stayed during 32 degree heat, and there was a fan but it was still so hot in the bedroom. The bathroom had no air conditioning and it was unbearable to use the bathroom during the heat. Apart from this, it was a lovely stay and I would stay again.

The idea and concept is there, very pretty to look at until you look a little harder. The room that we stayed in (riverside view) was roasting hot and unbearable to sleep in. And the view was more a view of the black tar roof above the restaurant. The food was okay, presentation was there but flavour a little lacking. The restaurant itself was dirty, with food debris all over the floor and dirty glasses on almost every table, to the point where me and my partner cleared some as we both work in the industry. There were two young guys working the restaurant, which was very slow and with no attention to detail. When we checked out no one asked how our stay was. All in all it could have been a lot more special than it actually was - there is only so far you can get with an ideal location but no much effort elsewhere.

Room looked lovely but had a terrible smell. Food in restaurant was very good for dinner and breakfast, although there was some issue with a very long wait to be served, being given out of date menus that were not longer valid. We also organised an event there. It cost 1100 GBP for afternoon tea for 20 people. The quality of food was terrible. It cost 25 GBP a person for a few little cakes and sandwiches which were tasteless and dry - like they had been cooked 2 days before being served. I deserve at least a partial refund.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel next to the Thames after attending a lovely family wedding. Great breakfast on the Terrace on a lovely Sunday morning followed by a relaxing walk by the Thames. Highly recommended.

Hotel room was beautifully decorated and very clean and the bed very comfortable. The only thing was that we had a room on the top floor with a small window and it was really warm. We stayed in early May. A fan was provided but it was too noisy to run all night and we were a bit overheated which interrupted sleep. Better to request a room on the lower floors in Spring/Summer. Otherwise fabulous place in beautiful location.
