I travel all over the UK, weekly for work. This stay was by far the best of 2026 so far! Excellent cosy atmosphere, friendly locals, enough quiet areas where I could get work done.
They had hawkstone on tap, and the food was amazing!
Would highly recommend to anyone and I will stay again when in the area

Beautiful room nice and warm and products provided. Arrived just before they stopped serving food but the staff were very helpful and delicious meals were served up.
The bed was super comfy.

I have stayed more than 30 times in recent years and the standards have dropped significantly, no breakfast available, a really noisy fridge in the room along with kids cereals and a vastly reduced food menu in the bar. Used to be a standout hotel in the area but the Sutherland has taken over from what I have seen - shame
