Staff where amazing especially the Manager and the lady at breakfast....Sharon. Food was great ...breakfast again was amazing probably one of nicest breakfast I've ever had genuinely it was that good !
Room was fantastic no complaints about anything & will definitely be returning !

Amazing find as we were looking for somewhere not too far away to have a relaxing night and good food. 10 out of 10 for everything I can't recommend it enough. Staff great and engaging and food was great and not badly priced. The setting is lovely next to the fields on a warm summer evening. Thanks people for looking after us well. Staff willing to go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome and looked after which is rare these days.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay here with my partner and my sister . Easy to find , loverly location . Warmly welcomed by there staff . Explained everything we needed to no took us up to our rooms etc . So nice so friendly and approachable . All areas and rooms very clean and tastefully decorated to a high standard . We had a meal in the restaurant the first night which was amazing. From start to finish . Breakfast was equally amazing. . Carnt wait to stay again in the future

It would have been good to know that the restaurant would be closed on the night of check-in, at the time of booking.
It would be useful if the owner slept a night in Room 1. The mattress on the bed dates back to the reign of Queen Victoria. It is as supportive as David Brent is to a bereaved colleague. The potholed streets of Slough are like a snooker table compared to this torture device.
Of course there were no fans available.
I have asked for a receipt 3 times now. 4 days later, I've still not received one.
I don't think I'll be staying here again.

I travel all over the UK, weekly for work. This stay was by far the best of 2026 so far! Excellent cosy atmosphere, friendly locals, enough quiet areas where I could get work done.
They had hawkstone on tap, and the food was amazing!
Would highly recommend to anyone and I will stay again when in the area

Beautiful room nice and warm and products provided. Arrived just before they stopped serving food but the staff were very helpful and delicious meals were served up.

I have stayed more than 30 times in recent years and the standards have dropped significantly, no breakfast available, a really noisy fridge in the room along with kids cereals and a vastly reduced food menu in the bar. Used to be a standout hotel in the area but the Sutherland has taken over from what I have seen - shame
