Great hotel, nice rooms, good bar and snacks. There was building work going on outside our room which we weren’t notified of so the window couldn’t be opened and the blind closed all the time as the work was literally outside, the scaffolding was almost touching the window

Room was newly decorated comfortable and lovely. Breakfast was fine but not much variety. Staff in hotel and restaurant were really friendly and helpful but some gym/pool staff were fixated on their phones and not as helpful to visitors! Not enough locker keys for visitors to loan which for the pool.

Rooms are lovely. But, upgrade to club room is pointless, pay for parking and pool access separately. At times on weekends the pool is unusable due to lane ropes and swimming lessons. Every exchange with staff felt like the guests were an inconvenience.

Disappointed that the room AC wasn't working and its 28° degrees. We were given just one fan to share between 3 people. 6am we had maintenance man banging on doors for good 15 mins and woke us up,so wasn't a great experience.

Checked in, saw room was on a floor with lots of kids running about the hallway, also right at the elevator, and an adjoining door to noisy neighbours. Wasn’t allowed to change rooms without £100 change fee. Next morning, iron wasn’t working. Breakfast had 2 girls rushed off their feet, told that all food that was available was out I asked about croissants and pastries, told they had run out (this was at 0855) Over all terrible stay, would have been better and cheaper at the premier inn 2 mins away.

Room was clean when arrived apart from the spoons and cup being dirty which was not good so I had to ask to get replaced. The hotel is under construction so bear in mind that there is alot of building work and people about so if your looking for a quiet get away this is totally your choice as there is alot of people there which i found overwhelming . Breakfast was good apart from there was no cups for like getting juice or water so had to take the tea cups thats on the table which wasnt really ideal but other than that stay was pleasant just didn't like how busy this hotel is , also this hotel has got a gym and spa and bear in mind it gets very very busy here and looking for parking there is very limited so either leave the car park or risk losing your spot nonetheless it was all good but could be better.

Overall ok stay for work, close vicinity to event venue. Property under renovation so rooms dark & unable to open blinds. Generally Clean but coffee cup stained with marks after room refresh. Saturday breakfast served very late from 8am forcing people to skip breakfast for early event starts. Weekday breakfast service lacked attention with minimal staff & resultant struggle to oversee stuff - no refills for food & coffee till you found someone.

We stayed here on an overnight stay to NEC. we usually stay in village hotels... I am a mobility scooter user & the a accessible rooms are great. spacious & clean with a large wet room with seat. Also a lift is a must.. Evening Food slightly overpriced for pub grub.. but good choice & hot.. Breakfast always good choice small batch cooking..nice to have eggs cooked to ie poached or fried.. order..Staff as always friendly & helpful.. the only downside at the moment with this hotel is they are in the process of extending & the car park is a nightmare to navigate & only a small area for disabled guests could be found -which was a good distance away from the entrance. Trying to leave was an a really nightmare as the signage for the exit was not prominent enough with it being road & the incoming traffic blocking this..many people driving round unable to find spaces / exit Just needs better signage for the exit... Would I stay here again yes but when the building work has finished..

*** Avoid this hotel *** No mention of the extensive building works ebing carried out. Building work started at 7.10am inside the hotel waking us all up Workmen peerig into the room when my 11 year old is getting changed from the shower when they are on a lift on the outside of the building (we were on the 4th floor) When complaining to the staff at the hotel they said we would recieve a full refund - now they are ignoring us and wont return emails Asked for their policy of work hours for the building works - was told verbally not before 9am for inside work. Manager at the hotel will not put this in writing Have asked for complaints proceedure from the same manager - emails now ignored Asked for the policy on informing guests that workmen maybe accessing higher floors from the outside of the building - again ermails ignored Would I stay here again? No. Would I book another Village Hotel? No. I have emailed and emailed (seems to be the only option as no telephone number for customer services) and again emails have been ignored. I travel on business a lot and stay in lots of different hotels and this has to be by far the worst hotel i have stayed in for a long time. Run by a manager named Daniela who will run for the hills if she gets asked any questions that are not on the script. AVOID!!
