ibis Budapest Heroes Square

This hotel was perfect for us, being situated right by Heroes square and Vajdahunyad Castle meant that we got to get photos when it was all lit up at night when there were no crowds! It is also a short 10 minute walk over to Széchenyi Thermal Baths which is cheaper if you arrive between 7 and 9am so was perfect as we got to go around all the different pools, saunas and steam rooms and drop off our wet clothes at the hotel before heading off to explore the rest of the day! The hotel is right by the main metro line you need to get to the main districts in Budapest although it is also walkable if you would prefer. Budapest is big though so if you are on a tighter schedule the metro is really convenient! The room was big, clean and modern and the shower room.was has a powerful shower, although the hairdryer is a bit useless (it takes forever to dry your hair)!

Good value for the money, very polite and friendly staff, 24 hour bar is helpful, breakfast is pretty good for complementary hotel breakfast. I’d stay here again without question.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
