Booking and checkin was very easy and convenient. There is covered and semi secure parking at location. We tried calling ahead to see if we could reserve, but no one answered the phone. Rooms were plain, but comfortable and fairly close to the city center without breaking the bank.

When I booked I wasn’t told that the hotel was undergoing renovation. The breakfast was poor, cold scrambled egg, mini sausages floating in oil, orange juice from the machine looked like cloudy water, and all for 13 euros. I asked if I could have a kettle and was told I could rent one for 10€ per day, I told the concierge that I had one the last time I stayed, he told me the reason I didn’t get one was I booked through Expedia. I’ve used the ibis in hero Square three times now and every time it’s got worse. I go to Budapest three or four times a year it’s a lovely city but I definitely won’t be using the ibis in hero Square again.

Rooms big enough and clean - comfy bed. Very convenient hotel for sightseeing. Quite noisey - very heavy doors that bang. If on first floor you hear the noise from restaurant, especially at breakfast service. Most staff happy & helpful

The front desk Atilla was really very helpful. They really didn’t clean my room except pick up the garbage and give me some new fresh towels, which I kind of fever weird so cute. I can’t wait to have a grandbabies of my own.Probably

Wow, how to ruin what should have been a good trip. The condition of the rooms, whether ‘refurbished’ or not, were rubbish. The breakfast was hardly worth £1, and the laundry service was an absolute con. The air conditioning is only turned on when they decide it’s warm enough, not when you want it on demand. The shower leaks, the flooring is terrible, the windows don’t have their safety catches (need to know this if you have kids), and the whole thing just sucked. I’ve left great reviews across the rest of this European holiday, but this was the pits. All told, if your budget allows you to get an alternative, do it.
