A beautiful hotel right opposite a marina and a level half mile walk to the town with a cafe on the way! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was stunning; so much choice and service was exceptional. The pool is beautiful. Good for swimming or floating with amble sunbeds and the gardens well tended and added much appreciated shade. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay with you special Sole traveller female

The Hotel is a little out of town but the walk along the sea front is fine to get to restaurants. The reception staff and all others were very courteous and helpful. The room was spotless as were the majority of indoor areas. The pool could do with a bit of an update . It was clean though . The loungers weee not very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, wide range and well presented . The only thing to mark it down is the presence of the owner sitting all day long sprawled in the foyer area. He presented as gruff and most unwelcoming he just sits for 8 hours in a chair . It is very odd.

Parking was good, plenty of spaces. Did not warrant 5 stars (stayed in a better e star b&b during our tour of Sicily).

The people were very friendly. However, the bed was uncomfortable and the room was very warm. The hotel didn’t have any fans available and opening the window didn’t help much to cool the room down. I guess the air conditioning had not been switched over to cool so that wasn’t much help either.

This hotel has been renamed The New Hotel Palace. It was grand, beautiful pool area, ornate lobby and sitting areas albeit somewhat dated. The staff was lovely. It was very quiet, guessing that it was off season. The breakfast was not enticing, a bit disappointing. The same foods were out for 2 mornings so there was nothing that was fresh except maybe the loaf of bread to toast.

No way this is a 5 star hotel. It smells, doors and faucets in rooms don’t work, no dinning options on Saturdays, and it must have the hardest and most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept in.

A Charming Stay with Room for Improvement My family and I recently spent four days at this historic hotel, drawn by its rich background and reputation. The property is impeccably clean, and the staff are incredibly gentle and hospitable. The service is courteous and attentive, reflecting the best of hospitality. However, considering the hotel’s storied past, we expected a more inclusive and detailed approach to service. While breakfast was included, the quality fell short of our expectations. When I requested eggs sunny side up, slightly turned over, I received overcooked eggs with crispy edges instead. We later learned that the waiters, not trained chefs, were responsible for cooking, which seemed unusual for a hotel of this caliber. The excuse given was the lack of appropriate cookware, which felt inadequate for a property with such a prestigious history. Another minor issue occurred during breakfast. As a parent of a three-year-old, I made a sandwich for my child and asked the waiter for napkins. To my surprise, he brought paper towels typically used in bathrooms. This oversight seemed out of place in a five-star establishment where attention to detail should be paramount. Overall, while the hotel offers a beautiful and clean environment with gracious staff, there are areas where improvements are needed, particularly in the dining experience and attention to detail. I would love to return, hoping the management takes these feedback points to heart to enhance the guest
