Amadi Panorama Hotel

Throughout my entire stay, the shower drain in my original room was completely blocked, resulting in 1.5 inches of standing water in the shower after every use. I later discovered that this water was contaminated with feces and other excrement, meaning I had been showering while standing in infested water for two full days. I have seen numerous other reviews claiming the same thing about standing water in the showers that are dated to several months back, so this is a recurring issue that they haven't fixed and it finally resulted into what happened next. On the third day of my stay, while I was in the shower, feces and other excrement suddenly erupted from the drain, splattering all over me. This incident was utterly disgusting. Following this, I was relocated to a room on the 7th floor. However, this new room and the entire floor had awful smell that began the moment the lift doors opened. Every time I approached or entered my room, I had to cover my nose to tolerate the smell (and I could still smell it with my nose covered). This may be caused by the above drainage issues. Finally, the next day after this whole fiasco, I asked for a full refund. The general manager said she could only offer me two days refunded as I already had 'two good days with no problems.' Well, thank you for giving me two excrement-free days, unfortunately you could not keep the streak going on the third. Don't ever come here

FYI. This is not a hotel. It’s a hostel. Get into the location is complicated enough, but it doesn’t get any better when you get inside. The rooms are terrible and very old.

Very disappointing stay. The hotel does not live up to its advertised 4-star rating and offers poor value for money. Overall, it fell far short of expectations.

Nice and quiet. Very short walk from a tram stop that runs very often.

Hotel ground floor entrance was not particularly inviting or inspiring, it is down an alleyway which was not illuminated at night and there was a lot of building work going on. That said, the hotel itself, which is on the 7th and 8th floor of the building, was much more inviting. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean and spacious. Overall, would definitely stay again.

Small room, good view...until they finish the building next door. Air conditioning didn't work, staff not very helpful and I suspect they knew: I had to insist to get someone to look at the settings, when someone from maintenance said it was not working indeed. Even with two fans, the room was hotter than the car park. Locals don't have a good opinion of the hotel, here is why.

Every room feels like a penthouse

Experience - Construction work next to Amadi Panorama meant that we were woken up very early in the mornings from the extremely loud noises. We asked for another room facing the city instead because of this issue and were initially told that we could only to be denied later after wasting time waiting around for the check-in time. Bathrobes were missing from our rooms and when asked for were told they would be sent to our rooms - no such luck there either. The front desk staff are polite but unfriendly and the owner/manager makes sure his presence of intimidation is observed. Luckily it was only a 2 night stay - but without the rest and no peace/quiet. The positive - clean. Conclusion - Not fit for a business trip if phone calls/online meetings want to be made from room and not fit for a quick leisurely trip if you want to sleep past 7am.
