Well, the best thing about the hotel is the location, just seconds from the city center. Private parking on site, at 9 eur a night. Dogs allowed, also a plus. However, the hotel is in need of a complete renovation. The hallway and room we had needs new floors and walls, new everything really. It was comfortable enough to stay, but at over 100 a night it's too much for the offering. Breakfast also was just OK, they did not refill much of the food when we went down at 920. Service not the best. Seems like a sketchy hotel unfortunately. There is a restaurant on the ground floor that seems much nicer and was busy when we went.

Rude staff. Expensive for what it is. Very rude and uneducated staff. We booked a triple bed room for space, they tried to put us on the ground floor next to the busy street, we obviously didn’t want that so we asked to change, they put us in the smallest most horrible room ever (pictures attached). They didn’t even give us a refund or the room difference price, because we “booked through booking”; Breakfast was more like a basic truck stop service. All of this was only for 1 night and cost almost 200€ in total: city tax, parking and 15euros more for our dog 🤣🤣🤣🤣. pathetic!

We really ecommend this place, both the hotel and the restaurant. Excellent food deserving of a Michelin star and the best service from lovely staff every time we visit. We're here again on a detour - every time we can we make an unnecessary stop over here to visit the fantastic restaurant, and spend a morning pottering through the cute town of Venlo.

This hotel was very convenient at 1am after being kicked out of the train station. They had a room for four which was very large with two full or queen beds. Stairs are narrow and steep, but the owner said we could keep our bags downstairs if needed. The sides of the tub were quite high, so take care getting in and out, but the room was clean and spacious. As we were just there for a layover, we did not get to try the breakfast. I'd stay here again, with some advanced planning.
