The hotel is in a convenient and walkable position for all the shop, bars, restaurants and the river. The welcome on arrival from Jo was warm, friendly and helpful. She was full of local knowledge and recommendations and was always chatty during our 3 night stay. There is easy parking at the rear of the hotel. All the staff were friendly and happy to assist if required.

Wonderful premier room, does need some extra lighting as quite dark and only has 1 double light socjet so needs more or a usb socket.Other than that a beautiful comfortable room.Staff were wonderfully friendly especially the young girl on reception about 2pm on Saturday 21st December.Xmas decorations lovely 😍

Was only here for a night, no complaints. The room was warm, clean and comfortable. The only thing to mention was on check-out, there were 2 others in front of me and the lady at the desk was on the phone which isnt a problem, however, we stood for nearly 5 minutes and she neber once looked up and acknowledged us in any way. The person in at the front of the queue eventually noticed a key drop off which was fine but the staff member could have at least looked up and signalled she would be with us soon.

It had parking. Tick but when you get out abmnd see tgat it is £12 a night and be told you should have read the small print! The rear entrance , foyer and corruders a bit grubby and dated. The surprise is the rooms aren't. Fresh, clean, comfy bed and a great view.

Huge room but tiny bathroom by comparison. Only had a shower but could have sacrificed some bedroom for bigger bathroom to include a bath

The compact double room is everything you need for a solo traveller. Although the door to get in to it is very small! A large person would really struggle.

Uncomfortable bed - hard mattress and pillows. Sofa in the room has seen better days. Also very dark, could do with more than a few lamps to brighten it. Poorly soundproofed resulting in noise pollution from outside being very audible in the room. The room itself was nothing like the image used on Hotels.com to sell the room - Privilege Room?? Underprivilege room gives a better description. Check in staff polite and attentive, check out staff more interested in their conversation with colleagues. Unlikely to book this property again.

Stayed for one night, excellent location but it was let down by the noise levels due to the poor quality windows and the pillows which were really uncomfortable. My room was facing on to the main street so the noise when people were leaving the pubs was really bad and that was followed by lorrys doing deliveries. I realise these can't be helped but better quality windows to keep spund out wouldn't go a miss. The last time I stayed here it also had a pool area which was great but unfortunately thar has since closed so that was a slight let down.

The room was decent, but not enough light. Both room and bathroom were dark. Front desk staff was nice. Breakfast was decent. There was a variety of hot food and cold cuts. The location is perfect. Lots of restaurants and shops

Lovely hotel and staff were friendly. Location was perfect. Right in the middle of the town centre and a 5 minute walk from the train station. Apart from the musty smell as you walk into the hotel can’t fault it for anything w.
