A very clean and comfortable city centre hotel, perfectly located for the old town, the markets, the promenade and the ferries. There is limited parking, so book this early, but if you get a space it makes your stay so much easier - and it’s not too expensive (€17.50 per night). The hotel rooms are well equipped and the beds large and comfortable. Bathroom also has a selection of things you may have forgotten. There is a restaurant/cafeteria/bar, but we found the location was exceptionally convenient for all the amazing eateries serving great local produce.

This is a really lovely hotel in a great location. Beautiful spacious room. Large bathroom with a bath. It was very quiet in the hotel and no noise from the surrounding streets. Carparking was easy....there was a lift down to the underground garage. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Bahia is in an excellent location, just 5 minutes walk from the train station and bus station. It is very well maintained and the staff were so helpful. Housekeeping was excellent. You can catch the bus to El Sardinero beach or walk there in sbout 30 minutes. There are also local ferries close by, one takes you to the Puntal sand dunes, not to be missed. Also kept turning corners and discovering new squares with bars and restaurants.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The suite had a beautiful view. Unfortunately also had a damp odor and limited amenities. I had to ask for tissue paper and electric kettle. Bathtub was a huge jacuzzi but very slippery and I almost fell. Shower head too high for comfort. It says 5 stars but it’s definitely below.

Large room and bathroom which was clean and comfortable. Its a large hotel so a little impersonal but friendly enough Underground car parking was useful and easy to manoeuvre but as its car lift operated you have to wait for some time

Excellent hotel. Bookable garage parking for a fee, via a car elevator. Great bar and restaurant. Lots of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and shops around the hotel. Bakeries 1min from the hotel for breakfast. Lovely modern hotel, very comfortable rooms. Lots of complimentary bathroom products. Highly recommended.

Welcomed with a smile. Easy to find from the bus station, just look up to top of hotel for sign. Cafe open to grab a cuppa or a wine at most hours. Across the rd from the water and tourist information. Easy to catch local bus to Magdalena palace and beaches and we walked back. Staff were very helpful, from opening a bottle of wine in the cafe that I had brought with me, to helping fill out my next accommodation on line forms. Very good English at the front desk.

The only thing that tripped us up was deciphering the cafe from the restaurant. Despite telling the bartender we had reserved and were residents, we were shown to the cafe. Then at the far end, the restaurant lights went on (20:15) and we understood. Toilets in rooms have no doors 😱😳

Well located hotel, close to the ferry port, parking, bars and cafes/restaurants. Reception staff a little frosty and you had to ask them for information rather than them volunteering it. The room was large and well appointed although maybe a little tired. We would stay here again but that is largely because of its location.

Requerimos un cuarto tranquilo, y nos dieron un cuarto con mucha vibración proveniente del ascensor ibicadi en una de lad paredes adyacentes al cuarto. Cuando pedimos cambiar ese cuarto nos dijieron que no habia otro disponible. Finalmente la recepcion nos dio la opcion de otro cuarto mas caro que finalmente tuvimos que aceptar.

Wonderful room comfortable beds lovely bathroom .. but lacked tea/coffee making facilities in the room. However there was a cafe downstairs.We used the restaurant for our evening meal which was excellent good value for money and very polite professional waiting staff a credit to the company . I would use the facilities again and recommend to other travellers.

My experience was last minute booking, as the hotel I was staying at could not extend me an extra night. Everything from checking in, to getting my room early was great! Room was clean and got everything I needed, plus a marvelous view of the Centro Botín and Paseo Pereda from the 8th floor. I had to leave the next day to the airport on the first flight out, they called a cab and it was there within 5 minutes. Staff was friendly, courteous and helpful.

Every thing was great. However, the day we check out, they didn’t mention the Santander airport opened at 5am. We left the hotel at 3am, waited out site the airport for 11/2hrs freezing until the doors open. No one at the hotel informed us of the airport schedule!!!

Everything pretty much good except the AC in the rooms sucks. Breakfast in hotel was very good we must admit. They blame the poor AC in room to heat outside but lobby was perfect. Just letting all know.

Reception staff were a little brusque and unfriendly but the staff in the cafe and the chambermaids were very friendly. The room was comfortable and had a lovely sea view. We’ve stayed in more than 20 hotels in the last 3 years in several countries and this was the first one that didn’t provide tea/coffee making facilities in the room which is disappointing for a 4* hotel
