Excellent family-friendly hotel to stay in and it is very central. We just walked around almost everywhere we have been to. Lots of restaurants around to choose from, very close to the beach as they have access by the pool. There’s entertainment at night like live band and some activities by the pool side/solarium during the day. Breakfast is highly recommended. Staff are fantastic. The smell of the hotel is really nice and they use Rituals products. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Melia Alicante.

Everything was great except the fact that they called me regarding the shower gel that was just not nice. They were asking me to pay for it but then the staff understood and they said they will talk to the housekeeping... :)

Clean room, staff friendly and helpful

Very clean and well located Hotel. Nice stay but only reservation was a very small pool given the size of the Hotel.

Quality Hotel, service, staff, food and position. Wonderful and comfortable stay. Enhanced our Alicante experience.

Everything was great, only thing I would say is a personalised message was supposed to be at our hotel room for my mums birthday, which never ended up being there on arrival. Few marks in the bathroom but they let us check in early which was nice. Very central and in front of the beach, breakfast was beautiful :)

First night I was placed into a room that was older, poorly laid out, impossibly small shower. Certainly not the executive suite I booked, pictures not even close. Room door lock broken, had to get that fixed. No garbage can in the bathroom. No towels in one of the bathrooms. Complained, second night they moved me and it was the room I booked. No refund though. Bait and switch. Also, went during San Juan. Non stop party there until 4:30 am. Didn’t know that about the area. Would never go back. Nothing tranquil or peaceful about it. Lots of garbage on property, and staff always loud with dishes, carts, mopping machines, other things that you don’t usually run into as an issue at a nice hotel. This hotel is very echoing inside, very loud. Great location, beautiful city, terrible stay. Two thumbs down.

The rooms were clean and it was nice that the hotel had a bar. The amenities offered were not as robust as a 4 star hotel in the US to include having to pay for bottled water and the in room coffee was substandard. We had paid for breakfast as part of our room rate but only ate breakfast once because the quality was so bad including the omelette station where the worker didn't even make a proper omelet with melted cheese. Overall the stay was good but the value as a 4 star hotel was not there.

Top class hotel in the best position in Alicante.

Excellent location, very clean hotel with good-sized rooms and facilities. Rooms are soundproofed from each other but corridor noise can be heard. Doors slam if allowed to close automatically. Good assortment of breakfast food but bacon needs a jackhammer to cut it, mushrooms and fried eggs tend to be very greasy. The room Wi-Fi was poor, often dropping out completely or loading extremely slowly. Staff are excellent - friendly, helpful and professional. Domestic staff did a first class job of keeping the room clean. Breakfast staff were extremely helpful.

Fantastic stay in room 5084. Superbly looked after and excellent value on the Level.

Closed main pool early on Saturday for a private event. 2nd day went to pool well over an hour before close and no towels available. Hotel was just ok, kinda hoping it would be better. Would I go back probably not.

One of the best hotels we have stayed at. Beautiful location and views, great location and super clean. So many things to do. Only wish we could have stayed more days. Restaurant and buffet staff super nice as well as the man at luggage area.

Our room was right over a restaurant. Our entire room and belongings were infused with fried fish smell. This room should not be available unless a solution is found.
