Parador De Siguenza

I loved this place. We did a 2 week road trip through mid to northern spain, and only spent one night here. But as soon as as arrived, I wished we had booked multiple nights here. First the place is impressive. And beautiful. The staff, every single one, from the front desk to the restaurant and bar, to the housekeepers, are all extremely helpful. We dined, had a drink at the bar, and had breakfast here. All excellent food and service. There is about 30 parking spots within their walls, and many more outside. We were here during a heatwave, but the AC in the room worked great. Plus you walk down 5 minutes to stores and restaurants and bars. Would stay here again.

We had booked a room of about 430sq feet with nalcony through expedia that was supposed to have a king bed and a double bed but we were given a basic room with two twin beds and no balcony when we brought it to their attention they refuse to accept any responsibility for the booking saying it was fully expedia’s fault for putting rooms they dont have ! After with inquired about the balcony rooms they said they have but its not what we booked ! We showed them pictures of what is booked and description and they still refused to honor that . Charged us 25 euros to give us a room with balcony but not quiet the same size with two separate large beds. Expedia handled the issue for us and gave us a little credit equivalent of extra charge but the customer servic was not existant at the hotel and they did not respect their booked descriptions For the room : the AC does not bring the temprature lower than 23 matter if its placed at 18 or even lower … the room was too hot for us to sleep in . The room is spaceous , the bed is compfy anyd its a cool castle to stay in but i did not to explore the restaurant or bar after the experience we had . So cant review them .

Overall fantastic. Meal on evening however disappointing.

Everything we expect of a Parador

Stunning castle location. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Staff were so welcoming after a long drive- we arrived right when the restaurant was closing but they stayed open to feed us.

The Parador de Sigüenza is set in a magnificent 12th century medieval fortress. We asked for a room overlooking the courtyard and were delighted that one was available. The staff were delightful. We had read that service was slow in the restaurant and were confident that the comments were just isolated incidents. We were wrong! Service was very slow! However, this was just the way that service is done at this Parador - you don’t pop in for some fast food - you go for the ambience and a leisurely meal. The Parador is just a few minutes walk to the centre of town - down a fairly steep hill (which seems even steeper when you are going back up it). The highlight of the town is the cathedral- lots to see, a must visit (the hundreds of heads in the ceiling was quite a surprise!). Parking was easy for us - we managed to get the last free parking space inside the fortress walls - parking outside costs a few euros a day. We spent two full days (three nights) at the Parador and were ready to move on as we had seen everything in those two days. One of the best Paradors that we have stayed in.

En el desayuno las señoras que atienden se ven agobiadas y te atienden como molestas, es una pena porque le quita un poco el encanto del día, por lo demás todo muy correcto

Excellent hotel

Magnifique , propre et excellente literie mais difficile d’accès avec des valises ( escalier) et peu de services en chambre pour la catégorie ( pas de douche , pas de bouilloire, pas de machine à café, pas de chaînes de télévision en langues étrangères … )

An expensive treat for us but the sensational setting in the old castle was amazing

The breakfast was an amazing. This is a very beautiful property and I was impressed with everything. The only thing I would change the temperature of The room. Seem to be very warm in the evening while we were sleeping.

Supetb location and hotel

The hotel is beautiful but not well suited for handicapped or movement restricted guests. Rooms are lovely and the breakfast very good, but coffee not so great. The setting is exceptional and well worth a visit.

Una hospedería hermosa e inmaculada. Al llegar piensas que el GPS se ha equivocado y te ha llevado a una atracción turística. La histórica estructura está perfectamente conservada y la decoración es moderna y de mucho estilo. La mejor comida que disfrutamos durante nuestra visita por todo el noroeste de España, fue sin dudas en el Parador de Sigüenza. Solo mejoraría el proceso de checking.
