Staff was fantastic hotel is still undergoing upgrades and some parts are still dated however we were treated like special guests our asks were actioned right away and the whole staff was super friendly

With the construction going on, this place was a mess. We were initially given a room next to the pool in which there was no AC and no hot water. Moreover we had to argue to get a better room. Will not stay here again

for the price of the 300.00 dollar room, the bath room had old mildew tiles, tub plug was broken the whole tub surround was outdated and dirty looking. room very basic

They put us in a section that was under construction. Our room was also half renovated. Front desk did nothing. Will never stay at a Sandman again. They should not have put that room as available.

Rooms are pretty dated and the air conditioning wasn’t working as well as it should have for the price

The bedding smelled of B.O. & there was no hot water. I thought by staying in the tower I would be in an upgraded part of the hotel. I would never stay here again.

This hotel was convenient and the space was adequate for us. They are in the process of renovating the rooms as they are somewhat tired looking,, but they are clean for the most part. We were booked in the tower room and when we got there they had us on the main floor. We requested the tower room as was indicated in our booking with expedia. My husband had to arm wrestle them to get the additional $12 per night off of the booking when they recognized that the main floor was not what we booked. All good. The restaurant on site was a great addition and the pool and hot tub are great amenities.

They are running a guest of the day program and we were the lucky guest of the days! Little things that count

I like the fact they have a pool and that Denny's is just a few steps away from the room. The shower spray is quite nice I didn't like the fact that the bathtub didn't have a bar to hold on to. The water is very hard.

When I booked Sandman, after staying in many around the country, I had expected better. I learned from a friend, after the fact, that this was one of the original hotels in Kelowna and while it was under construction, while we were there, the room we stayed in on the 2nd floor was lacking some of the most common necessities. There was no outlet in the bathroom. The closest outlet was just outside the bathroom, and it wasn't working. I had to use the coffee machine outlet and then the cord for the dryer didn't reach into the bathroom or hall mirror. There was no safe in the room. The toilet paper holder was so annoying as the roll kept falling onto the floor, which was wet from the toilet tank condensation dripping. The tower rooms were only accessible by climbing 10 stairs to the 3rd floor before you could access the elevator up to the other floors. Because we booked 4 months before we planned on staying (due to a great Expedia deal for flight and hotel combo), the price was right! @Sandman - we appreciate the construction did not affect our stay. We didn't ask to change rooms because we had already unpacked everything and it would be too much hassle and we were there for sleep only so we made it work.

The rooms are updated but small. The pool is in an atrium where all the rooms in the centre of the hotel have balconies that look onto it. There is a Denny's and a bar in the hotel. The hotel is also across the street from a mall and there are tons of dining options within walking distance.

There was no hot water In the morning, so i had to have a cold shower. The housekeeping knocked at our door 15 before actual checkout which was also frustrating for us being rushed out before it was time. The front desk staff was not helpful, questioning our complaint of the hot water, suggesting that we were the only ones complaining about no hot water, rather than making it right for us. I would say poor customer service.

Property is in need of an update.
