Front desk staff and housecleaning staff were very helpful and friendly. We were sorry to see the Happy Hour time with drinks and food in the Canvas Restaurant had closed down. We had not been here for just over a year.

The property was a solid 3-4*. Good location. It is getting dated, with older plumbing, and our double-glazed window's seals were gone.

Our stay was made wonderful thanks to the incredible hotel staff. From check in to housekeeping, every person we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful and extremely accommodating regardless of time of day or night. Any request we made, even late at night, was taken care of quickly and with a smile. Traveling with multiple kids can be challenging, but the staff made everything feel easy and comfortable. The daily breakfast service was one of the best parts of our stay. The variety was fantastic and there was always something each child enjoyed. It was a great way to start the day and we truly hope the hotel never changes that. The room itself is beginning to show its age. The plumbing could use attention, as the toilet flushed slowly and loudly, and the shower drained so poorly that we often ended up standing in a pool of water. The paint and wallpaper are starting to wear, and the bathroom door frequently got stuck. If it was closed all the way, it took some effort to open again. The light in the prep area outside the bathroom also took a few seconds to turn on, which was noticeable. Even with these issues, the service and overall atmosphere more than made up for them. The warmth of the staff and the family friendly environment left us feeling appreciated and well cared for. We would happily stay again, especially once the rooms receive a refresh.

Place was clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, but limited choices. No issues with air conditioning. Parking is paid but it is reasonable.

We stayed here with our two kids aged 9 and 12. The location was perfect for exploring the Halifax waterfront. The Citadel was right next to the hotel and we spent a few enjoyable hours there as well! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The onsite parking was convenient, easy to access and a reasonable price at $27 CAD plus tax a day. Hot tub, sauna and rooftop terrace were very well maintained and clean. Breakfast was better than average with a good variety and coffee was delicious! Our daughter particularly enjoyed the chocolate muffins. We stayed in a room with a full kitchen which was convenient but the kitchen was pretty bare bones. One of the stove burners was broken and there were limited pots, pans and other utensils for cooking. We made it work, but it could have been better. Despite that we would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Cambridge Suites Halifax was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Every single staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the level of customer service exceeded all of our expectations. The front desk team was outstanding. They were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always quick to answer any questions or accommodate our requests. When our plans changed at the last minute and we wanted to visit Peggy’s Cove, they immediately organized everything for us, including shuttle transportation, making the entire process effortless. The location couldn’t have been better. We were within walking distance of the waterfront, fantastic restaurants, cafés, and everything we wanted to see and do in Halifax. Our room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including coffee, complimentary bottled water that was replenished daily, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap. We were travelling as a large family, and housekeeping was always happy to provide extra towels without hesitation. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a great variety and plenty of food for everyone. We also really appreciated the complimentary coffee, tea, and water available in the lobby. After walking back up the hill from the waterfront with our large group, it was such a thoughtful touch and very much appreciated. It’s rare to find a hotel where every interaction leaves such a positive impression, but Cambridge Suites Halifax truly delivered.
