Bedbug exposure — PROCEED WITH CAUTION During our stay at the Radisson Hotel West Edmonton, we experienced a serious issue involving bedbugs. We observed a live bedbug crawling across the pillow in our assigned room and immediately reported it to hotel management. We were moved to another room on the same floor. To our knowledge, this room was not inspected prior to the move, and during our own inspection we observed markings on the headboard that appeared consistent with bedbug fecal matter. By that point, our belongings had already been exposed. We were concerned by how the situation was handled. Surrounding rooms did not appear to be isolated, and we observed guests continuing to occupy rooms adjacent to the affected area. The pest control response appeared minimal, and we were not provided documentation, guidance, or the name of the pest control company. Only a partial refund was issued. This trip was especially significant, as we traveled to Edmonton to renew our vows, and we had priceless cultural and ceremonial items, including regalia and eagle feathers, with us. These items were exposed as a result of the circumstances, causing significant emotional distress and potential financial impact. Due to the exposure and how it was managed, we are now facing additional costs and precautions to protect our homes. Based on our experience, we would strongly encourage prospective guests to consider alternative accommodations.

Spotless very nice room

Room very out of date, lots of broken stuff, stains everywhere, water damage and even mold.. Expedia showed a picture with a jacuzzi so we were excited and then we got there was no jacuzzi. Also said breakfast was included but it was included for a cost.

Everything was fine.

This hotel needs replacement of their amenities, 3-little pillow, beddings is super used, towels are used and aged. Good only as rugs, no microwave, no daily cleaning dusty air conditioning unit. Shower curtain is worn out. We are hoping a hotel stay but ended up a dorm stay. Not to recommend ever for this hotel.

Not clean. Carpets had to be requested to be vaccumed upon arrival, for chunks of a white unknown powder in several areas. Walls were dirty. Door sign for room number literally fell off as we walked in the room. Hallways visibly stained and dirty carpets. Would not recommend this hotel for future travel.

No the vanity was quite dirty, something brown stuck to the front and back of the sink, there was cup stains on the desk. There was also something on the corner of the desk.

Clean and sufficient

The renovation made the washrooms much nicer and more modern and clean.

The elevator should not have an air freshener that sprays its very unpleasant and im sure the scent sensitive people can agree!

It was dirty, old and smelled horrible. Definitely not worth the price we paid. We went to the lounge to get a drink shortly after we arrived, and we weren’t greeted with friendliness at all. The server was talking with a maintenance guy and it felt like we interrupted them. We showed up for happy hour and the server had no idea what happy hour was, and he didn’t speak English. We ended up leaving. We will never stay at this hotel again.

The room was large and clean. Staff are friendly. However there was NO internet connection unless you stay at the reception area and that made our stay horrible.

The staff were great, but the room and public areas of the hotel need a renovation. Toilet stopped working, shower lever leaked, and room lighting felt like a morgue
