Loved the hotel. Beautifully done and brilliant staff. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very good. Would have liked to give 5 star however there were a couple of issued. Firstly the bar area was cold. People sitting having a drink with coats on. We decided only to have one then retire. I dont like cold. It was mostly caused by poeple waiting in the large entrance causing the main doors to remain open. The second was the thermal spa. This was an expensive extra cost which had to be booked. Unfortunately although the spa was fantastic there was not enough beds considering it was appointment led. There were no hooks for towels and robes for the people who had no bed. Also as it is on time slot basis, several people leave at the sam time. There are only two showers and one toilet in each changing room leading to long waits.

Amazing hotels and stay at this hotel - I stay away a huge amount and this is one of the top hotels I’ve ever stayed in Highly recommended!

The room was very comfortable and very clean, breakfast was great and location was also good with enough parking space.

First visit. Great room and service throughout my stay. Excellent view of Stanley docks and Hill Dickinson stadium. 1.5 mile from centre - £6 taxi was quick and easy. Breakfast - lots of variety and good value. £10/day parking was reasonable -main car park quickly fills up. 5/5 recommended.

Spotless room and bathroom

We stayed in the classic room and it was lovely, spacious and clean. Coffee facilities in the room and staff were helpful when we required extras. We used the spa which is such a relaxing place, really helped us unwind. 2 hours for £20pp as hotel guests. The breakfast next day was delicious, plenty to choose from and everything tasted great. A good selection of food and drink to suit everyone. Staff were polite and helpful. Will definitely be booking again.

Great stay , but the spa availability wasn’t great that could be improved in some way.

Nice room, very clean with modern facilities. Only criticism would be it was a little cold and whilst there was heating it took a while to warm up

Great room, great staff, breakfast excellent. What let’s the place down is the additional fees that are standard everywhere else…Parking £10, the Spa which only opens in leap years, when there’s a total eclipse of the sun and when the moon is in Sagittarius, is at additional cost… best stay somewhere else with spa facilities if you are expecting spa experience.

The staff were happy, friendly and always happy to help. The room was beautiful, the beds were really comfy. We had a fabulous stay and would definitely go again. 5 star all round.

The room was below expectations. The bathroom was dated, we were expecting a bathtub as per the room pictures and description on the site, however we were assigned a disabled access room. The shower handle fell off and the sink cabinet was tatty, the water pressure was low. The double bed were 2 single mattresses zipped together, which apparently is standard for them but not what I would expect as it leaves a sinkhole in the middle of the bed. Pillow covers were inside out, coffee cups the wrong size for espresso and the kettle didn’t seem to work. Slightly dated TV, I would have expected a smart tv. All in all nice bar area, friendly and professional staff, but the room is sub par for the price point.

It was our 28yr anniversary. They prepared a little treat and also a hand written card which was a very nice touch. Room, spa and building was spacious and spotless
