LyLo Christchurch
We are coming from a long flight, bringing lots of baggages and toddler. Once we checked in, they upgrade our room. Thank you so much! They offer free tea and coffee, wifi and also the location perfectly situated near supermarket and fast food restaurant. This is our second stay, whereas the first one still Jucy Hotel.

BreakFree on Cashel Christchurch
The hotel has a good location but other than that we were extremely unhappy. the rooms are very small, the toilet and shower is built into the small room. It feels like a ferry hut. elevators are small and jerky. except for this we also have a very unpleasant story that started when we checked in, quite late in the night, the clerk insinuated something about my passport being worn out - on the outside. he said something like: "I have never seen that". which is an odd thing to say. Nevertheless, the rain was pouring down so we wanted to park our car asap, but the clerk informed us that the parking was full. First time I've experienced this. He gave us some instructions where we could park our car, but that parking was also full, because it was dark and extremely wet I just parked on a parking lot close by and I didn't see anything about parking fees. (I was going to move the car next morning anyway). Next morning around 9am I went for moving my car to the hotel and of course the car had been fine, my fault but I still blame the hotel for not having enough space. When I moved to the hotel park another clerk implicitly told me that they will charge 15 nzd per day at the hotel. First time I have ever heard about this. Even hostels provide free parking but not a 4 star hotel in Christchurch. Unbelievable. Also after night 1. we left the room around 10 put out the sign that said please make up our room, when we got back around 2-3 pm, the room wasn't cleaned. the next morning when we were supposed to check out, guess who wanted to clean our room at 9.30. overall the hotel seems like a low fare cost airplane, the price in the beginning seems reasonable but the end price turns out to be very overpriced compared to what you get. the portier was very nice though.

ibis budget Auckland Central
The room is not big but what do you expect from a budget hotel. The hanging clothes is so high and uncomfortable. The location is great in the middle of the city center. Three minute walk to Britomart Station.

Sudima Christchurch Airport
A very close hotel from CHC airport but not that close if you bring lots of baggages and a toddler plus an early morning flight. But no worries, they have a 24-hour shuttle to the airport. Literally at any time. You just pop out to the lobby and tell the receptionist. That is the highlight from our stay. The room was spacious enough and also clean. We ordered pizza for our kid, and it was delivered with their robot. It's a walking distance to Spitfire and Woolworths. There is KFC and McDonald's nearby.
