Housed in a former art academy building from the 1950s, the Jogja National Museum is Yogyakarta's first contemporary art gallery and museum. The venue hosts various discussions and art exhibitions, including the world-renowned Art Jog and Biennale Jogja. It also has an independent record shop and a special exhibition space, Gallery for Citizens, that emerging artists can use for free.
