Gorilla - Hostel

Location was good. Breakfast was good. Pool and garden were nice, but a felt a bit neglected. My dorm upstairs was good, however pillow and mattress weren't great. The place could definitely use some maintenance/updating. Kitchen leaves a lot to be desired.. It doesn't cost much to replace cracked plates or sponges.. volunteers at reception need to be trained better.

The Gorilla hostel is a great place to stay at in Mendoza. The hostel staff are really friendly and hospitable. The hostel is located close to the main area for bars and restaurants. The hostel has free guitars which you can use with is great. It makes the hostel really social with people singing and playing music. The hostel also has activities and a bbq once a week. I would definitely stay there again soon.

The staff were so nice! They will try to help you to figure out all you need to do in Mendoza. And efficiency info will be supplied whenever you need from them. I just love them！

I don't like to give bad reviews, and the main girl / owner was nice but....Unfortunately this was a real disappointment - the hostel is absolutely filthy, and worst of all they only have 2 tiny bathrooms for the whole hostel - that means if someone is in the shower or using the toilet there is nowhere to go - including ALL the dorm customers etc - for that many customers it is unacceptable really! We were constantly having to wait for the toilet and usually there was no toilet paper. I had to ask a few times for it to be replaced otherwise it would not have happened. The bathrooms were filthy and needed repair. There is a sign saying 'tell us if the bathroom is dirty' but what a cop out - they should sort it out instead of waiting for people like me to constantly tell them (which I hated doing!) There is no soap. The whole place needs refurbishing but because it has a pool (filthy too) and a fun vibe (true) they think they can get away with it. There were no staff available when we needed them - one time we couldn't even get OUT because the person who unlocks the gate was busy playing table tennis. It took 10 minutes to find out who worked there so we could unlock the gate and leave. About time they fixed the place.

Hostel muito bem localizado, staff ótimo, café ótimo, infraestrutura adequada, vários banheiros (porém bem apertados (ducha e vaso sanitário)). Café da amanhã muito bom. Visitem a Bodega Lopez em Mendoza (foi uma indicação da moça da recepção, e é maravilhoso o passeio).
