Mango House Resort

We booked three nights at Mango House to attend a family gathering in December (Summer in North Queensland). The reason we didn't stay with family is because they don't use their air-conditioning. The air-conditioning in our unit was sub-par..even after they bought someone in to address the issue. The pool was a saviour but they need to upgrade their air-conditioning system considering we had a substantial Long distance drive after having not slept very well for three nights in a very hot unit. Finally I would recommend meals at nearby Club Whitsunday we ate there twice with a table of twenty plus and no one was disappointed.

Furniture very uncomfortable including bed, dining chairs and other areas in living room. Would not stay here again unless all Furniture was replaced.

We really liked our stay here. The lady running it was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The gardens around the property were well kept, including the pool. This is definitely worth staying here if looking for a low budget stay near Airlie beach. You need a car though!

The property inside the room needs a makeover.

The property manager inspite of 1 booking, gave us rooms in very different locations, room was also not good as they are very small, poolside room can be assigned to us. Only benefit was location

My room/apt faced the roadway and there is significant, loud, road noise to be heard all night long. I'm certain that the units facing inwards don't experience this issue.

Amazing location! Close to grocery store and bus stop. Very helpful owner and will go above and beyond to accomodate the needs.

I wish there was more transport available or I had bought my car. The rooms were smaller than anticipated but overall a great experience and the check in last was wonderful. I will be coming back again . Thank u for having us we appreciate it

Very friendly and helpful staff

It was a night stay. Place.was clean and comfortable. Hotel manager was friendly. The place was not busy and could be good if she had upgrade me to a pool view room.

Highly recommend!! Our apartment (one bedroom) had everything and more. The pool is amazing. Access to the pool is excellent and family friendly. Spa is amzing. Pam is super helpful, down-to-earth and friendly.

The toilet stunck so bad. The dish washer was full of dirty dishes. I booked for 4 people it was advertised as double bed and 2 single sofa beds. The two single sofa beds were actually the conner couches that did not turn into a sofa. The kids were so uncomfortable. We tried to use the BARBAQUE to make out self BARBAQUE there was no light there had to use our phone light. I would never say here again.

Disappointed the cleaner did not do a proper clean. All cups were filthy, which made one think, maybe all utensil and plates were the same.

Nice and clean, hasslefree

The best above all the other self-contained apartments that stayed in all my life in Australia and New Zealand. I will definitely stay there if I travel that way to the Whitsundays again in future.

Property Manager is friendly and helpful. We stayed only one night and all went very well for us. We will stay again here.

I think Mango House would have been good ten years ago. The rooms need upgrading as does the pool. The rooms are spacious enough (we had a one bedroom apartment). There was three of us, husband, wife and teenage daughter. We booked a one bedroom apartment with queen bed and double sofa bed. There was no sofa bed. It was a built in sofa that could apparently be slept in. Like two small single size I guess? Definitely not what you would expect when booking a double sofa bed…something that pulls out to make a double bed. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. On check in it was mentioned that a cleaner had quit that morning so probably done in a hurry. The good…separate toilet to bathroom (although not sure why exhaust fan was in toilet and not bathroom) and washer/dryer. Kitchen had everything you need. And good quality toilet paper! We bring our own but didn’t have to use it! 😂 Both times we went to the office (to get pool towels and check out) we were going to ask about sofa bed but both times the lady was on speaker phone to family it seemed and didn’t seem to want to hang up and serve customers. We were a bit disappointed but we booked late and this was what was available and it was good value compared to other places. With some improvements it could be a lovely place.

Fasle advertising - there is None of the following - Netflix, Ovens, Stovetops, Baths, Dushwasher, Close to beach. Cultery all chipped and unit, bbq and proprty so dirty.
