Mercure Ballarat - Hotel & Convention Centre

Great service all round.

The rooms a quite different at this place. I’ve stayed 3 times at a good rate. So I gave it 5 stars for the price. Some things did not work in the rooms mainly the tv and internet but I will say the first room I stayed in was working fine.but it did smell water damaged. Don’t expect perfection unless you pay for it, overall it’s one of the best places I’ve stayed in Ballarat.

Overall we had a great stay. Staff were excellent and the price was very reasonable. The bathroom in the unit we stayed in however was very very old and whilst it appeared mostly clean the shower curtain and chair require urgent replacement as they were in poor condition and dirty.

Overall it was a good place to stay. The room i had was a little dated and in need of a revamp but it was well priced and concomfortable fortable

The staff were unfriendly and the restaurant on site is extremely noisy and run by very unfriendly unprofessional people.

Great place to stay

The external property is gorgeous. The restaurant was fabulous for dinner. The light from the carpark keeps you awake at night. The house keeping was as expected which would only get noticed if you stayed longer than a day or two. Highly recommend a visit to the Sanctuary Day Spa.

Okay place but not worth the rate you pay. Some of advertised facilities were under construction

Booked a king & got a twin. Very daggy bathroom. Air conditioner on its last legs

Really disappointing stay at the Mercure. I have stayed there three times in the past six months, this was by far the worst and I will choose another option in the future. The room was smelly, it was musty when we arrived, there was no option to open the only window to get any fresh air. The skirting boards were damaged and coming off from the wall near the bathroom, making me question if there was a mould issue. The bathroom had a very bad odour coming from I assume the drains. We closed the bathroom door overnight but it was extremely unpleasant to shower in. The shower grout had mould. We arrived late at night and were checking out before 7am so it was not worth raising these issues to swap room at that point of the night. The grounds are beautiful but the rooms leave a lot to be desired.

We loved the property, as it was clean and spacious. Also, we loved the setting, it was beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

Interesting hotel like a resort. Have a nice garden and pond. Can’t open the curtain as it faces call park directly.

Close to Sovereign Hill. Comfortable but aging.
