Robinson Cottage

The cottage was quit and small but had everything we needed for the stay. The rooms were clean and the heating was good for a cool winters night.

The location was great. The bathroom is a very good size but there was nowhere to put shampoo etc. once in the shower. There was no soap/shower gel, no soap only a pump softsoap at the sink. Sink is cracked cracked but ok. The shampoo and conditioner pumps were a generous size. There was a heated towel rail which was needed. Tea and coffee and milk supplies were as usual, very generous milk bottle. There were mugs and tea cups and saucers. Quite sweet. Where the experience fell down was with the host. I received no communication re entry code. At the property a sign pointed to reception, there was no reception. The sign had a contact number, it was answered by an automated answering service but I was not connected to a real person. I tried twice. Once I got through to the host (via a phone number on the website which was the contact for the previous owner) the host helped me access my room. However, she blamed the previous owner and the platform and expressed no empathy or understanding. It's not nice, after driving on your own for hours, to arrive somewhere in the cold, with no obvious means of contacting the host. I hope these are teething issues and the host learns to manage the platform(s) and to be proactive in helping customers.

The bed and amenities are great. I would have liked some lamps there as I get up in the middle of the night to read (insomnia ) and don't want to disturb others

Excellent position though privacy not the best being right on the street. Hot water and heating were both good. A few items looked a bit worn like to cultery drainer and towel rail heater. Shower badly needs a better soap holder and/or smaller soap packs. I had to put the soap pack on the shower floor to use it. Too big and heavy. Some of the ceiling light globes were flickering.

Lovely well appointed cottage. Walking distance to restaurants & around the beautiful town. Great easy access to room. Lovely ambiance in the room.

Charming historical cottage

Oatlands is a quaint town with lots of history however, this property is in need of attention to the mould around the bottom edges of shower and floor of the shower. Very dusty around the room edges and a gurgling sink all night. Lovely bed and the electric blanket was much appreciated. At the price point it is very expensive and definitely not 3 1/2 stars.

Fun staying in such an old building with all its history.The cottage studio was very well equipped and warm. The bed mattress was a bit saggy and sloped .Otherwise excellent

it was all very comfortable and warm ion a cold winters night. the door lock was a bit stiff and strange but worked ok and the bed in the front room squeaked!! minor. It was a lovely place to stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable and cosy.

Great meal at the RSL. Opens at 5pm and has lovely local people, open fire, and best chicken snitzel ever 😁

Stayed in a beautiful authentic early settlers cottage. All the amenities we required were there. The cottage is situated On High street walking distance to everything the town has to offer.

A cute little cottage, veey comfortable

This is a quaint little room in a historical building. In fact every building in Oatlands looks to be an original 1800s stone building. We enjoyed a quiet one night stay. Not much to do on site. It has a stone courtyard and has a well equipped kitchenette - no hot plate though. Wifi is not great as it drops randomly. We both felt it could have used a good dusting. Overall a comfortable place for a night stay on the road. Its self check in but the staff were responsive by telephone

I found it difficult to find as it was behind other buildings in the street and poor signage - there is not any reception area for help. Quite small cottage but well equipped for stay with adequate off street parking.
