Absolutely will never go back there

We stayed here, over the Christmas Period, trusting Wotif's reviews. Biggest mistake I have ever made. I wouldn't allow my dog to live in this filth There is no daily service, despite being in over a week No Fire Alarms Bathroom, I've used cleaner public bathrooms kids bikes and rubbish piled up outside of rooms, generally looked worse then the neighbours properties Found stuff in the bed on arrival Gunky in the Kitchen Sink Weird brown Staining throughout Ceiling Fans covered in so much filth, held together with tape One Air Conditioner not working in the family room Nobs for the fans removed Have seen prisons with more pictures on the wall. One Dining Seat not fit for sitting on due to weird stains Was not willing to leave possessions in the room, we "moved out" every morning Cook top cracked and chipped Reception was friendly enough, however the rooms need to have a serious renovation and cleaners sacked

We chose this hotel as it was pet friendly as we were travelling with our cat Raven. Room was small but cosy. Floor felt a little slippery especially when you got out of the shower. There was no wifi in the room that we stayed in, but that was OK. The staff text me to let me know where the key for the room would be and when checking out, we just had to drop it back in the key return box. Simple and easy! Would definitely stay there again!

Nice clean, pet friendly accommodation.

Toilet was blocked, shower heads were opposite which made us think there was no hot water. Wifi wasnt working and neither was the TV volume. Other than those things, it was great! Clean and tidy and quiet.

South Gladstone Motel was a perfect pet friendly stopover for our family trip to Brisbane from Townsville.

Clean room but dated. On noisy road. Reasonable for the price though.

Not like the pictures unfortunately, it’s a run down motel and overpriced.. aircon didn’t work. It’s anlso an unsafe area and no secure parking.. people drinking and walking around at 10pm when we walked our dogs and 4am.. assuming they’re about all night.

The only not so good thing is they don't have WiFi, the room is small but how much room do you need to sleep. Very clean and air conditioning was cold, good night sleep, will stay again.

Best place to stay at in Gladstone customer service was great !!! Very clean !! Shower was great and hot bed was like staying in the Hilton

Firstly the on site manager was amazing. Her customer service was exceptional and her demeanour. The motel itself is terrible. The pool is green and mouldy. It seems people live there. My neighbours were swearing and arguing. My first room was like something out of a horror movie. There was no aircon. Extension cords running all over the place. No cover on the ironing board. And so forth. I was given a different room because of the air conditioning not working. The next room was better but still very trashy. The curtains didn’t hang up properly and offer any privacy as all the hooks were broken. The kitchen blind had layers of dust and food on it. The pool was unusable. And there were no wifi even though I believe ( I could be wrong) it was advertised. It seems people from very low socioeconomic status reside there permanently and their were children crying and couples arguing and swearing. Expedia I believe that you need to verify these properties more thoroughly. This is my second time booking through Expedia and both times I have not been impressed. But this time was dreadful in relation to amenities and the environment. Again the on-site management was absolutely spectacular and her problem solving skills and hospitality was impeccable. The property itself though I’m sorry it’s just trash

Motel grounds not maintained …Pool gate locked because it has not been cleaned for months. office shut.. Room was clean but pictures do not reflect the current state of the property.

Very clean Avila & fast communication

No one ever at reception paid extra for the spa bath and I wouldn’t wash my dog in there it was manky as !! Positive the bed was comfortable

I liked the quietness & easy access. Dog friendly too.

Good communication with Manager, close to facilities & Gladstone Show Ground.

I really enjoyed my stay. I needed somewhere to stay overnight on my journey from Cairns to Brisbane where I could have a relaxing evening, hot shower and comfortable sleep and I so appreciated being able to have my little dog with me. South Gladstone Motel ticked all the boxes for me.

Good family stay kids can play around outside, friendly managers, and great for pets.

The room i was in is two small doesnt have a kitchen sink to do dishes so had to use bathroom sink.. The light from out the back came into the room and kept us awake most of the night. And the hot water needs attention.
