My wife and I rented a 1BRM apartment for the weekend. The first surprise when we got to the apartment was a free upgrade to a 2BRM apartment with water views. Without asking, this was a great gesture. The room was clean and comfortable. Closeness to The District Docklands SC and restaurants made this a great stay. The property is also located within the Free Tram Zone so getting around the Melbourne CBD was a breeze. Would I stay there again? In a heartbeat.

There are 3 buildings - and this was NOT per the description, so the photo for the pool is different, as are the rooms to the apartments. Cons -Worn furniture - faux leather dining chairs are disintegrating -Shower head faulty - so we pulled the hose tight and no adjusting -we stayed 6 nights- no room servicing -Parking onsite is expensive Pros -We wanted to be in Docklands so nice location -Pool was nice even though it was not the one as pictured -room was pleasant even though much smaller than pictured -nice to have cooking and laundry in the apartment (even though we didnt cook LOL) Reception does set your expectation when you arrive, but this should be included in the description beforehand. Booked for a family catch up but then found out we were in different buildings despite checking on booking that we were close. Had to change rooms half way through to enable to be closer. ( the staff were very understanding and helpful to facilitate this).Paid a lower upgrade fee of $100 but even though we moved to a 2 bedroom where we only used one the actual accomodation was disappointing after the initial 2 nights stay which was lovely. We were not permitted to view the room before the move due to it being occupied and probably would not have moved if we had. No air con in bedroom, older style furniture, worse views. I also believe that a key lock on the door access would be safer with children as it's just a catch lock that a child can open so when the grandkids visited during their stay I had to put barricades in front of the sliding door.

Great stay though note that it is not the same high level view as what is advertised. There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms and had to remove the light globe in the hallway of the bedroom as to use the overhead fan you needed to turn this light off but it was wired incorrectly. Fridge was too large for the space in the kitchen so you had to squeeze your fingers in the gap between the fridge and cupboard. We were in the Boyd building across the road from the Sebel Hotel which was fine but note to used the indoor heated pool and spa you need to cross the road and ask for the pool key at reception which can take some time if reception is busy. Beds are firm and all pillows are high profile polyester so bring your own if the pillows don’t suit. Excellent biology products for shower and towels and washers soft and provided. No clean unless staying over seven days but can ask for more TP and dish washer supplies.

Would have been better if the property supplied tissues, some basic kitchen items like paper towel, water jug, cling wrap and foil. Extra cutlery would have been good too to actually make use of the dishwasher. We stayed in mid Jan and sometimes outside was a bit noisier due to events / kids playing outdoors. But other than location was pretty nice and convenient to jump on a tram to head out and about
