Independent (SPHC) GRAND HOTEL WIEN by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Nice hotel in central Vienna. Located in the heart of shopping and dining street of Vienna. Old hotel but well maintained. Staffs were nice and assistive. Bedding is quite to soft and using spring mattress, which I don't like that much, but still comfortable. Air conditioning panel is quite confusing to operate but I can make it works after learning. Breakfast was good but not to the point of 5 star hotel expectation.

The bathtub shower access was difficult to enter. Anyone with limited abilities should ask for a room with a shower only.

Went for an extended long weekend. Great time and will go again. The hotel is located within steps of museums, parks, opera house and restaurants. Highly recommend.

Really well run hotel .. first class breakfast .. grand rooms with nice spacious bathrooms .. 2 mns to the opera house and 10 mns to best shopping area and restaurants

WE ENJOYED STAYING IN THIS PROPERTY, IT IS CLOSE TO EVERYTHING THAT A VISITOR WOULD WANT TO SEE.

Big rooms, spotless and very quiet. Not impressed with bedding, duvet too short for bed, no spare blankets.

A Pleasant Stay but Some Drawbacks We had a good time during our stay, and I must commend the staff for being very helpful and attentive throughout. Their excellent service really stood out. The hotel itself is nice but feels dated in parts. Our room was a good size, which we appreciated, but it was far too hot. Unfortunately, the heating system only allows for warming the room this time of year, with no option for cooling. We ended up turning off the heat and opening the window, which led to a lot of noise from the road and people outside—making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, the shower is located in the bath, which is not ideal for those who prefer a standalone shower. Overall, while we enjoyed certain aspects of our stay, a few improvements could really enhance the experience. Let me know if you’d like any further tweaks!

City center, great location, the best staff service

Outstanding experience, friendly customer service, perfect location and first class facilities including super bars and restaurants. We could not have been happier with our stay and would personally thank this wonderful team for an early Christmas present.

Bath towels were smaller than normal size and very thin. No Q tips. Thats all
