Hotel Horchem

Very charming hotel. Loved the location!

Ideally located within this small village. Staff were very friendly and we were able to park a few hundred yards up the road. The restaurant was lovely and we had a great breakfast. We stayed in a suite/family room. It was clean and a great space, but very dated and could do wuth a refresh. Felt like it was in the 80s. But that said we had a good stay and would go back.

Das Hotel vermittelt über seine historische Beschaffenheit eine schöne Atmosphäre. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und erfüllt personalisierte Wünsche. Das Zimmer ist groß genug und das Bad ebenfalls. Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll gestaltet. Das Restaurant bietet sehr leckere Gerichte an, individuelle Menu- Wünsche werden berücksichtigt. Die Gerichte mit dem Monschauer Senf muss man probieren. Es ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Central location but not easy to find green space for our dog.

The hotel is gorgeous and the location in Monschau is absolutely perfect. I had an amazing view of the lake and the church from my room. The breakfast could have been better, and the blankets were a bit small, but everything else was great.

This is a really nice hotel in a great location in Monschau with a beautiful view from the balcony. A very unique hotel with great service, nice room and the hotel breakfast and restaurant were excellent.

A magical town covered in snow was a real treat

We arrived with children in the cold and rain outside the hotel at 9.24 pm - admittedly late due to unforeseen heavy traffic through Belgium and in appalling weather and driving conditions. The hotel was closed: there were no staff at the hotel , no provided emergency number / no message provided for us despite we’d paid almost £200 for the night in advance. We phoned the hotel number about 15 times - no answer. A resident upstairs in the building heard us and kindly spoke to us and showed us a copy of the check in notice which said the hotel was open for check ins until 4.45 pm - this contrasted with the published check in closure time of 9 pm. We were left abandoned looking for another hotel - finally found a welcome at Michel and friends around 11 pm. On return to Horchem the following morning, the front door was still closed . We could not enter still and again were abandoned outdoors. There were no staff, again no message for us, no breakfast. Only a note on the door for a courier to drop a parcel. No effort was made by the hotel to contact us or check in on us or our welfare during the whole experience. It was a shockingly poor welcome and clear taking of our money under false pretences. Such a pity as the hotel from outside looks really beautiful.

Everything was great. Will stay there again.

A pretty setting on a pond in the outskirts of St Vith. An attractive building on the outside, a bit dated and kitsch on the inside but perfectly comfortable. Food was quite good, exceeding expectations. They had a big garage you can leave bicycles in security, if you are riding the Vennbahn. Nothing exceptional but good solid value for money.

The building is a beautiful restored heritage building. 10/10

The staff have been amiable and very helpful, especially in bring up and down of our luggages. Most of all, they have arranged transport from the hotel to the bus stop. Imagine the difficulty to pull the heavy luggage along streets of cobblestones, this is really a kind and thoughtful arrangement. Finally, the menu for the set dinner is good in terms of quality and quantity.

Perfect location--right in the center of the enchanting town of Monschau. Very welcoming. Great breakfast! Excellent family operated hotel.

Comfortable traditional hotel in the centre of town. Good dinner supplemented by excellent breakfast. Only issue I had was that the credit card machine did not accept my card and I had to pay cash.
