Hotel Seibt

AC was a wall unit that took a while to cool the room. This hotel is basic and outdated. Beds were hard, towels old, everything seemed used. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was well stocked and varied.

I stayed here because it was cheap. The beds aren't great, but they exist and they provide bedding. The problem I have is when I turned the shower on, the shower handles gave a low grade electric shock. Apparently this is a known issue and they just haven't done anything about it. They said it shouldn't happen because there's "no electricity there." What they really mean is that there are bare wires above the shower head that are hot but not hooked up to a socket or light. The people were nice, but hell no would I ever stay there again.

Good for price

Given the price and hotel condition I would give 4 stars. The reason for the 2 star overall rating is unreliable shuttle service. Despite arranging the shuttle pick up with the flight information/time of arrival we had to make numerous calls to the hotel as the driver wasn’t there to pick us up. The attitude of the driver wasn’t any better. On the other hand the staff at the hotel was very helpful.

Clean dated rooms. But everything works. In cooler months ask for the gas hot water to be turned on instead of solar. Staff in morning spoke fabulous English and helped us sorted tours and taxis etc.

Nice hotel with decent rooms. The staff was excellent and super helpful. Just a friendly note, the room doors don't lock on their own, you have to lock them manually. I learnt that when I was about to check-out but everything in my room was in it's place regardless, so I can vouch for the safety of the property as well.

Trip to Iguazu so needed to be in town. Not much of a town! Having spent a month travelling in South America this hotel was not worth the money, we have stayed in much better for less, it’s little more than a hostel - not a hotel.

It is within walking distance to many restaurants. The beds were a little stiff, but the room was decent overall for a budget hotel.

As a family of 5, we appreciated the reasonable rate and airport pickup (most taxis couldn't take more than 4 people) and good breakfast. All of the desk staff were helpful. Some could speak English well and kindly contacted a tour agency that took us to Iguazu Falls on the Argentinian side, including helping us through immigration procedures to leave Brazil & enter Argentina (and the reverse on the way back) and to change money before taking us to the falls and picking us up at a fixed time. The hotel is very close to a bus stop (including Line 120 that goes to the airport & falls on the Brazilian side) and has restaurants and convenience shops nearby. WiFi didn't always work but I could reset it myself by unplugging & plugging the router in the hallway, and then it worked. There was a large refridgerator in the room.

The room was very clean and the reception staff were helpful. The location was very good, near bus stops. On the downside, it was noisy, specially without double glazing. The place is in real need of modernisation. The layout of the building is also not ideal, the only lift is a service lift at the back, it seems to be a residential building that was quickly converted to make more money. The interior decoration was outdated, we had a number of items that we could not work with, some of the shelves had been roughly cut, DIY painted and DIY put in place. It did not seem a professional job, We also had trouble with the internet, we raised it but it was not resolved. The room was cold and the heating was not switched on. It was noisy but we put up with it since we needed to get a living temperature. The furniture was scarce and not very well thought through. As an example, we had to insist to get a second bedside lamp. Finally, it was poor value for money, and the photos shown are irreal, when you see the actual rooms.

Best option for the money. Clean and has convinient location. Personal is friendly. Breakfast included.

Great location on the main hotel strip. Close to bus and taxi stands. Many restaurants and convenient stores only a few blocks away. Good breakfast selection. Rooms are a little dated but other than that, they are clean and cheap.

Great overall value. Unfortunately they are renovating the pool, sauna and fitness center do they are out of commission. Easy walk to major bus lines and the metro. Great breakfast buffet with a wide range of food. Incredibly courteous hotel staff. Room was a little worse for the wear with the ac not blowing super cold and a couple other minor things.
